Why LGBT Representation matters

Acceptance is not a necessary, desired, promoted or achieved element by anyone in this situation.

Me too. I just want a good story without any hidden agenda behind it.

You could, but then warcraft would not be warcraft. Like it or not christianity(or any major world religion) have no place in Azeroth. I’d also point out they didnt “create new lore” there was nothing stating there were not lgbt+ or people of color from the start.

The short answer is they were always there but tech to add them wasn’t. I don’t see you getting bent out of shape that human/forsaken hunters, gnome priest or dwarf warlocks suddenly popped out in Cata without any true lore to it, it was always just assumed they existed and were just not playable.

Because it’s easy to change your vocation if your race has the aptitude to perform the job. It isn’t like dwarves just couldn’t harness magic as a race lorewise. Shooting a gun isn’t exactly hard to do. No different than races learned how to punch and kick to be monks.

So yes, explaining “Oh they just decided to learn to use new weapons over time and exposure to other races who could do these things, surely they would learn.” is a lot easier than “Oh, yeah there’s a plethora of new skin colored people running about on literally the same day without some plague or mass scale genetic mutation happening.” Unless they’re literally all Shaun King or Rachel Dolezal.

I’m MtF trans and have better things to do than listen to this pathetic excuse for a discussion.

Except the humans could ALWAYS HUNT and could always be hunters. There were ALWAYS DWARF MAGES. Blizzard just decided they would make them playable in Cata! The point is these class combos existed since Vanilla and Blizzard just never made them playable, until they were playable.

Okay, I realize you’re a bit lacking with intelligence based on your replies so I’ll keep this short and simple.

In what addlepated mind does CHANGING THE TOOLS YOU USE equate to literally the spontaneous existence of a wide array of skin colors? Skin color isn’t something like you just learn to do something and suddenly your skin becomes black as pitch.

You do not need lore to just assume these guys DID NOT spontaneously come into existance. They ALWAYS existed. It was purely a limitation on the tech that prevent them from actually being something visible/playable!

Consider it a soft retcon if you want. But the people of color of Azeroth have always been in existance.

This i can’t understand you play a video game yet you could’ve acted has a LGBT in game so what’s the difference?

You dont EVER speak for everyone. How DARE you.

No it doesn’t. There is no non-arbitrary reason you can give for promoting homogeny in a video game, or any facet of life for that matter. The nature of a relationship is irrelevant, and to suggest otherwise is ridiculous. The only time relationships prove problematic in games or cinema is when there is an agenda behind it, which seems to be a massively growing trend nowadays. And honestly, that makes it impossible to empathize or enjoy the interaction because I know it’s forced and insincere.

This exactly, I’m SOOOOOO sure if you boot up the chinese or russian version of this game you’ll see the trans character proudly displayed, not totally just a virtue signal that means nothing… Blizz would NEVER remove something just to make money in a different country because they STAND WITH LGBT RIGHTS! /extreemesarcasmoff

I always saw it as dwarf warlocks were trained by the Dark Irons following Moira’s faction “joining” the Alliance in Cata. Considering that Dark Irons can also be warlocks, that seemed to be the case. Likewise with orc mages being trained by Forsaken.

As for human / forsaken hunters, it was silly that they didn’t exist since Vanilla. I mean blood elves couldn’t be warriors until Cata.

Actually there is a dwarf warlock(or mage I am not sure) that is in Nethergarde keep. Suffice to say magic users were not exactly trusted by the Bronzebeard until recently.

If I close my eyes, everyone is black. I have super powers.

Real talk, do you think Daredevil thought he was black?

Well, he became blind, so I think he knew…

Oh, I thought he was born with it. My bad.

But if you “feel” he was always blind – than that is your “truth” and no one can tell you otherwise.

Reality is fluid, after all.
