I don’t have the energy to go around reading rn, but I also think changing dating culture + how we approach interpersonal relationships + dismantling communities plays a part in all this also

You know what, I can actually agree with that. If they actually include that in their advertisements and discussions of the show as a selling point, it is probably a bad sign.
But again, not because diversity and representation make shows bad…but because the products were bad, to begin with.
Any race that isn’t white, according to people like you.

I agree but im trying to highlight how it has been used as more of a marketing maneuver then anything else. It feels painful forced and artificial at this point. Worse it’s become a fad and one that seems to be falling out of style while earning itself massive blowback. While i agree its a production problem. A lot of people are annoyed their favorite properties got awful media green lite because of " diversity "

I’m kind of amazed at how a thread about a desire for gay pride celebration has somehow mutated into one about immigration.
i love when gamers talk politics on game forums, it’s always filled with wild takes from both sides, flags are thrown around, people raging at eachother.
Great times. For me. Not the ones dying on various hills.
Now that is an unpopular opinion. It has had over 80 million viewers, has high reviews on all review sites, and has greatly increased the number of people playing Fallout games.

Just because something is viewed a lot does not mean it is good. I couldn’t stand the plot holes and contrivances aplenty riddling that show with more holes than Swiss cheese…

meh, I liked it.
I will say, the Kyle MacLachlan digital de-aging scene was very off putting.
Other than that I had a lot of fun with the show.
