Why is there no Pride Month event?

They genuinely think that, that’s why you get wished ‘happy holidays’ in stores now rather than ‘merry christmas’

Orlando pride event isn’t as bad as Brazil’s when it comes to lewd acts.

Many people do bring their children.

Still a bit too much open nudity for me personally to consider it safe for children to attend but that’s just my opinion.

Funny to me how they attacked Florida for being anti w/e but they have pretty large pride events.

Likely to sell more copies…how is that working out in practice exactly…? Not just in games but in general?

Declining birth-rates is a result of several factors. It’s going to be very difficult to pin it down on a specific cause and effect. It’s an entire macroeconomic effect of economic issues, increasing access to health care, optimizing workforce, global uncertainty, and changing human values. I’d even propose that being over-exposed to global events plays a part on the human psychology.

I’ve seen people try to pin it down to capitalism and religion, and all of it does not make sense on it’s own. Even India and China with it’s massive population is seeing declining birth rates that will see it’s impact around the 2100s.

No, I actually actively dislike forced diversity, especially in games like WoW where it doesn’t make sense (eg, Faerin Lothar).

People are allowed to dislike things, it’s not some nefarious force of nature surging through social media that makes people think “Hey, this purposefully ugly character is ugly” or “Hey, why are we pretending a single retainer justifies sub-Saharan Samurai?”

It’s actually not all that complex, since you mentioned China, even mainstream geopolitical analysts that deal with the country (like Stratfor’s Peter Zeihan, for example) boil it down to:

-Urbanization
-Industrialization
-Changing Gender Roles

They’re not making value judgments there, but “cost of living” is not something that most reputable people take seriously.

Yeah totally not because there’s multiple denominations celebrating holidays all at the same time or anything. :dracthyr_crylaugh:

Is it though…?

Its the defacto warning sign something will suck now to most people…rings of power, acolyte, bespoken, witcher tv show, wheel of time… the list goes on. Its almost always used to prop up poor products. I don’t think its ALWAYS a sign of that but its a trend.

It is obviously hit or miss depending on which side companies decide to offend with their choices.

For example, on one side you Tesla, which has been struggling because of Elon’s activities, and on the other you have Budwieser.

Every single time there’s even one non-white person or an LGBTQ character, the “forced diversity” card is played.

So sorry if I don’t take it seriously anymore.

And this doesn’t make sense because? It’s been 1000 years since the Lothars, why couldn’t there be anyone with dark skin added to that family tree in that time?

The Yasuke is based on a historical person.

People get murdered for stealing one another’s plant debris. People get murdered for insulting another person’s favorite sportsball team. People get murdered for flipping others the bird in traffic.

Maybe hyperpoliticization was a mistake and we ought to go back to the 1990s value-neutral status quo, and oust activist middle management?

The thread has gone to more places than Sunday has ever been too.

Yeah, it’s always true though.

Faerin Lothar is ugly, we know that Humans are derived from Vrykul, and Warcraft is a universe where skin color is deeply significant and has deep story-relevance (See: Orcs, Trolls, Dwarves, Elves, etc.)

Which is why I said single retainer. Because that’s what he was, a retainer. A curiosity kept by an actual Japanese Samurai. Not a Samurai himself.

Exhibit A of person who genuinely believes being wished a good time by someone practicing a religion potentially different from their own is somehow problematic.

Get a tie dye rainbow dress, this way it doesn’t matter if colors mix around by accident.

Industrialization, is the reason.

Yes, this, but your other reasons fall under industrialization.

It’s definitely not always a sign. Fallout was a big hit and it has a lot of things in that are unpopular in certain parts of society.

I think the bigger problem is that all of your examples are shows where companies are trying to milk an IP and producing lower quality products. I will agree that during our current streaming age, the quality of big-budget shows has definitely gone downhill.

I mean it wasn’t neutral. It was very pro Christian to the point its why pallys have books as a symbol over crosses ( a change made in beta). It was less invasive but it wasn’t neutral
