Why is there no Pride Month event?

Hey folks! I was just wondering why there is no Pride Month event in June for Azeroth?

We celebrate more controversial holidays like Christmas (Winter Veil), Thanksgiving (Pilgrim’s Bounty), and even Easter (Noblegarden). I just think we should also have events for less problematic , more inclusive celebrations too.

I recommend that we call it something fuzzy like Rainbow Month, or Proud Festival, and we can celebrate all types of love in Azeroth!

Can’t wait to see the changes!

Least obvious bait

And what is your idea as an activity for it?

You can do Running of the Trolls

This activity is for the Trevor project, which is a charity trying to support LGBTQ+ youth and reduce the suicide rate.

Real answer to an obvious bait, but because blizz doesn’t get any reward if they do, nor any backlash if they don’t. Corporations only go out of their way to celebrate stuff like this if it will make a profit. They don’t care, no corporation cares, they just pretend to care.

Corporations are run by people and some of them do care. It all depends who is running it.

There isn’t an official event, but a lot of the community run events for charity are great, and are definitely worth supporting.

Sure sure sure. Like maga can solve any issues.

Im struggling how you think christmas is controversial. Its like the one holiday celebrated across the entire globe.
I support people supporting their personal view however all fine and dandy but wording it like this feels controversial in itself.

A) Blizzard has stated that there is no homophobia on Azeroth. Therefore, the citizens have no need to hold a special gathering for a group discriminated against.

B) There already is a holiday catering to “all types of love in Azeroth”: Love is in the Air

C) They have made most (if not all) of the holidays based on real world holidays revolve around a background capitalist scheme to make money. Yes, that does happen in the real world with corporations “accepting” everyone for a single month of the year, but do you really want that translated into the game?

You really don’t need that in game, but if you really want to trigger some hard right people, go get the beach chair from the trading post this month and sit around the city. That alone will make their heads burst.

In the small chance this is a legitimate post, it’s because there’s never been any oppression toward LGBTQ+ individuals within WoW’s lore. All of the holidays you mentioned have an Azeroth version. Pride was made in response to oppression. There is no oppression in WoW to the LGBTQ+. Therefore, there is no Pride because the reason for it to be is not existent.
