Why is the horde community so toxic to

Where did he even say that.

I love werewolves. They’re my favorite thing in the world.

But I don’t like Worgen much, because they joined the Alliance and are, therefore, invalid.

we’re enemies, we hate each other. Wpvp griefing needs to comeback to the game

theres a difference between preferences in faction and claiming people who pay to play the same game as you deserve to be unhappy in real life because of the game lore. well if they dont want two factions, why did they make two factions? it doesnt make any sense. make a game then piunish your customers and fellow gamers for playing it.

i give up.

It is a far cry to mention a man child in a garage band acting out pathetic rage in front of one of the few cameras to ever capture him and telling players to commit suicide.

I saw the video years ago, then I read that rogues post and at no point in time did I feel like the rogue told me to kill myself.

I can assure you I am not this rogues alt.

I play this DK, a Prot Warrior named Jolts and a Hunter named Spirits. In fact, I go one step further than this Rogue and ONLY PLAY GOBLINS.

no we are not enemies, since almost everybody has chars on both factions. except the rare bird who thinks fantasy game lore was actually done by real people playing the game.

i’ll alert the press.

Go hit level cap first.

i dont buy max level.

Whatever that means.

that’s the high treason

Correct. I am the Rogue’s alt.

He plays me when he wants to feel shame over his faction. It is sometimes a refreshing change of pace from the overwhelming pride and righteousness one feels when one represents the Horde.

My wish for BlizzCon is the announcement of a defection option, so that I can leave the Alliance forever and join the glorious Horde.

should be a disclaimer on the char creation screen:

note: the developers and players heavily and heartily suggest you play horde. if you play alliance, it can only be for the collection of mounts, pets and achievements, then you need to get right back on your horde, cause this is really not a two faction game.

Being uptight and having an aversion to rowdiness are independent concepts. Uptightness often comes with disliking rowdiness, but disliking rowdiness does not come with being uptight. There are plenty of super chill, easygoing individuals who also don’t like rowdiness for example, not because they find it inappropriate but because they perceive it as not adding any value. More introverted personalities can also find rowdiness offputting because it’s a very extraverted sort of trait, which grates against their reserved nature.

So I don’t think it’s really fair to paint those who avoid rowdiness as being uptight or losers. It’s in the same vein as claiming that all Horde players are abrasive bros who can’t recognize when they’ve crossed a line.

For the True Horde!

This.
Even the most popular and generic gamers on the internet has echoed “Why would you play Alliance they’re losers” statement for over a decade. Heck, even Yahtzee is guilty of this.

This bred this culture of “Horde is for the mature people Alliance is for the children” mentality which is patently false.

I don’t believe toxicity is one sided any more, but residual negativity from the past still is prevalent.

for the only faction. the other one is not real. its just there to trap unsuspecting rpg fans into either going horde or quitting or learning to enjoy masochism.

well i do hope you get to defect if thats what you want. far be it from me to want to force people to do things they dont want to. which means, i’m not gonna force myself to either.
