Why is Jaina so OP and why is there no Horde equivalent?

Lol, because she wanted to get the eff out, too. It wasn’t that she COULDN’T, she just didn’t want to, haha.

Yoda agrees with this.

True.

She’s got powers y’know. She leaves behind trails of like shadow magic and stuff. She’s not “just a rogue.”

True. But remember Baine is a Tauren which means he’s basically the most physically powerful playable race.

True.

Unfortunate, but true. That being said I do think being a withered might’ve done a number on her, but that’s just a guess with no back-up.

Bwonsamdi is far more powerful now, and Talanji has god-like abilities for some reason.

Any jedi worth their weight agrees, lol.

Not to mention it wasn’t until recently that she ran around looking like a prune. I don’t think you come back from something like that as powerful as you might have been–at least not for a while.

This is from older stories and might not be canon anymore, but using magic burns a lot of calories, and teaching students not to accidentally kill themselves by trying to cast something beyond what their bodies could handle was the first and most basic lesson in Dalaran.

Jaina’s shtick for over a decade IRL was that she was extremely studious and, given her knowledge and her training under Aegwynn, was probably able to use the enchantments on Daelin’s ship to lessen her own exertion, but there are defined limitations to magecraft. Granted, Blizzard will ignore those whenever they think something would be cool.

There are also outliers throughout the history of Warcraft. The world guardians are the biggest part of those outliers. Those mages were the most powerful beings on the planet, and Jaina has always seemed like a part of that line.

The most powerful Mage ever to exist on Azeroth, who solo’d the Avatar of Sargeras. That alone would justify her abilities but to add to that, as Grymauch said, she did infuse her weapon with the Titans’ power. Quite frankly, at this point, she should be able to blink and wipe out the entirety of the Horde.

My mage don’t got those “mage things.”

Man honestly after finishing the ally war campaign the whole thing feels kinda dumb, silly and idiot ball. Spoilers. So, you’re telling me that after being blighted once, Anduin charges in, with a massive military of both displaced and saurfang loyal horde and the plan is to just see no bad story problems with a unused army risking execution for showing their faces, unblighted. Syvanas walks out with a war flag and fodder npcs. Saurfang commits suicide via syvanas and Anduin does Jack squat as he watches Saurfang cough blood and ask for freaking healing. And then we randomly walk into Oggrimar to have a funeral with everyone getting along and Sylvansas jumps out a widow? If Jaina just froze her bones and snapped each individual strand, preventing her body from shifting and dropping a rock on her death incarnate or not she’d prob still be dead

And then there’s the Saurfang family…

Humans are also flat out better at magic by nature, as discussed in Chronicle. The Thalassian elves taught a handful of humans the most basic of magic thinking they’d just be useful cannon fodder against the trolls, and the first hundred human magi proceeded to do this:

All while looking fairly sexy.

You have a point!!

You can’t question an Alliance or they’ll start crying about Teldrassil.

Last time I checked she didn’t rip a hole to the shadowlands without breaking a sweat.

Also why didn’t Bolvar ever try death grip -> sword or just start playing her like a screaming ping pong ball?

Look at that, a Horde player mentioning Teldrassil when no one else did.

What a surprise.

Never found the logic on this. Are they naturally attuned to magic thanks to their Titanforged ancestors? Even though Vrykul aren’t precisely known as powerful magic wielders? And if being created by titans is the case then what about Gnomes and Dwarves?

It’s everywhere in the forums, the Alliance can never be questioned or “Well the Horde did this.”
We had Sylvanas and that turned out bad.
