Why is it okay to replace Malygos and not Ysera?

I’m playing ff14 right now so I know the story isn’t going to be nearly as good but I hope it’s at least passable

Just seal the Veil. It isn’t that complicated. If people can never reach the mortal plane again after dying it isn’t really a big deal.

Canonically that’s how SL should end.

Gameplaywise, yeah we keep the portals open, but story wise, they’re closed, or should be. But who knows if Danuser has that sort of foresight.

Maybe cis white men have a hard time writing stories for people whose experiences they can’t relate to. Same reason they can’t write a good lgbtq+ storyline

I don’t appreciate “jokes” where the only purpose is to perpetuate transphobia. There was literally no need to bring up trans people. None at all.

Its not just that though, we know what happens when you die. one of the greatest mysteries in any fiction work and reality, is revealed, we know the answer now. We LITERALLY know exactly what is going to happen to those who die, meaning its kinda pointless now.
“Oh look we killed the new big bad, well thats gonna suck for whoever has to deal with him, wouldnt it be funny if he ends up just going to bastion? hah hah”
Like thats a MAJOR plot point tahts ruined because of Shadow lands.

Knowing what’s beyond death is what makes specific characters menacing and powerful. Now that is common knowledge well, no one is really impressed that you know the ways of the dead, i spoke to and killed literally giga satan.

Canonically they should do what they did to WoD, close the portal and we can NEVER ICLY go back to it again, and we never talk about it, never address it, never acknowledge it ever again.

I think Sylvanas is one of the only characters to get a story arc for three expansions that amounted to absolutely nothing. What did she actually do that was meaningful other than kill brain cells

Thats not true, Tyrandas entire arc was pointless beyond reason.
Banes entire existence was pointless.
Thralls story was also pointless because we already had that exact same story done in WoD but we decided to do it again.

Basically the entire story of shadowlands was pointless.

Making those types of ones, indeed do though. You have a lot of posts doing similar things.

They have, actually. But again, so have you and people that mod for your community.

I did get a good laugh from people reacting to shadowlands story. Didn’t Pyromancer have an emotional breakdown when he saw that the winter queen and elune were sisters? He was screaming like I’ve never seen before

I dont follow any e celebs so i would not know

Most of the villains we’ve defeated have been destroyed, not kill.

N’Zoth was obliterated. Archimonde was obliterated. Deathwing was obliterated. Gul’dan was obliterated. Kil’jaeden was oblierated.

We killed Garry, we killed LK, and we killed Argus. That’s pretty much it. Garry, LK, and Argus have all been dusted at this point due to Shadowlands so we don’t have to worry about them coming back.

All Blizzard has to do is make sure that characters we kill get destroyed and its not really a problem. Still, on that note characters who are killed, when they’re just a soul floating around, aren’t powerful enough to really force their way. Garry got manhandled in Revendreth, same with Kael’thas, and Arthas got put into a gem. Argus is the only soul that we’ve ever sent to the Shadowlands who just turned the place into a giant mess after killing them.

But for the love of god please change her voice actress.

No offense to the actress, but a green dragon sounding like a 12 pack a day smoker really takes me out of the immersion.

A black dragon or even red dragon I could understand, cause fire. But green, a life dragon? Naw.

I googled “Pyromancer Meltdown” and like three different meltdowns popped up. It does sound like the guy hams it up for views.

In the book “Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects,” the deceased Malygos is replaced by Kalegos as the newel Aspect. This takes place during the Embrace, which occurs approximately every 400 years.

No other dragons became the new Aspect for the green dragonflight after Ysera was killed. Merithra has a wait time of about 390 or so years before she gets a shot at it. Merithra had already missed the window anyway. The route that Blizzard istaking is a logical one to have an aspect for the greens.

While it is true that the Aspects had lost their abilities as aspects after fighting Deathwing, it is still possible that they were still “marked” somehow. Granted Wrathion doesn’t really fit the model there could be more going on offscreen for that - I think his history is a bit out of the ordinary anyway.
