Gold is abysmal in this expansion for rewards compared to expansions past.
If I wanted to chip away at gold in that manner, I’d go play Classic WoW.

They’ve already drained a lot of the gold in SL. This is nothing to do with getting gold out 'cause of ‘‘inflation’’. This has everything to do with trying to force people’s hand to buy game time with RL money. It will backfire.
Might want to check out a little thing called the AH. Right now is the best time to make gold.
This makes no goddam sense. Have you ever bought a WoW token? Because you clearly don’t understand how they work. You don’t buy gold, you buy a WoW token which you put on the AH and someone else buys it with their gold. So, there are as many people making gold on WoW tokens as there are who are spending gold on WoW tokens. Which means your reasoning makes no sense because you can’t force people to buy WoW tokens to make gold if there aren’t people making that gold without buying WoW tokens in the first place.

You’d think there was a way to buy in game currency and they’re trying to push you to buy it, would be mind blowing if that were true… But being a pay to play game that would never happen…

But please, nitpick on the wording.
Yet somehow unless you’ve gotten ahead of the group, spec’d into things people want, professions have been horrible for a good amount of people in DF and worse in TWW. Heck even the amount of posts in DF about professions and now in TWW has grown and how more and more people cannot make the gold anymore that they used to.

it only really hits people who play the least, i.e. people with the least gold. people hoarding gold cap on multiple characters couldnt care any less.
and your right it is intentional to push people to buy wow tokens, giving blizzard money.

I don’t disagree at all. Professions sucked in DF. They were still the primary method of gold making in the game.
Everyone understands what they themselves say. If they can’t express themselves well, others can’t read their minds.
Don’t worry about farming raw gold; there are plenty of ways to make tens of thousands by selling items to other players at the moment without much effort.
With how much gold we have in the economy already it’s better when it’s like this, at least early in the expansion. We should hopefully have more gold leave the economy than what is generated for a while.

You do know you can buy game time WITHOUT EVER INTERACTING WITH A WOW TOKEN. It’s called a subscription service… it’s called also buying the two month blocks of gametime with a credit card/debit/paypal w.,e…

I have a mining/herbing alt I just leveled from 70-80 almost completely by gathering.
I’m getting around 10,000-20,000g per hour without being particularly efficient, just flying around the coast of the island. I make my gold in the AH but this was somewhat better than I expected.

I do not recall people saiyan this other than people advocating for doing dragon race wqs for decent gp/hr. Legion and Wod printed more money than any other expansion coulda dreamed of unless you were some psycho who had like 4 accounts worth of necrolord mission tables in badowlands.

Ever thought about those 5-6 foot piles of gold at the end of Delves, but we only get to pick up about 30g? Does Brann take the rest?
He needs the gold to fund his research. Unfortunately he needs more gold as he can’t seem to find any more secrets of the titans. If only players would give just a little bit more gold he could totally find them.
