Brann tosses me 3 gold in delves, dragonriding races give 100g, delve “big bag o gold” give 43g, junk selling at an all time low. This is wow 2024 we need thousands people.
basically peoples complained gold was too easy in dragonflight go figure.
dont worry a r3 glided Vial cost like 300g+ for a work order that pays me back 80g not to mention the herb cost…
Agreed. It seems they want to push more people into the abomination that is the current crafting system.
ummm, herbs are selling for 20g-500g+ each
ore is selling around the same
fish are getting 25g-100g+ each
enchants are selling for 2k-40k
if you aren’t making gold right now, you simply aren’t trying
mining, herbing, and fishing will get 10k-100k per day depending on how many hours you spend doing it.
gold is easy enough to get.
Yeah you just pay $20.
you play the auction house and get rich, like every expac.
I turned in the weekly and got 16k gold on one toon. Another one I got 3400g and another only 1600g
The ones complaining about gold dont do any kind of farming.
I think I made 200k week 1?
Im net positive 400k this xpac after buying pets, tmog, enchants, gear and such.
Literally from mining and selling my engineering parts.
wqs are giving 900 gold. mats are selling for good amounts. gold is easy this xpac.
just pick up gathering, high quality herbs which while not 100% guaranteed like DF, are still pretty frequent and well sought after, pop a truesight vial, head out into the open world and fly around nabbing stuff for an easy 20-60k an hour depending on your luck and routes
I think theres 2 WQ today that gives 800g+
Once I got my cooking to maximum, I sold all my fish, meat etc. and managed for about two weeks of passive harvesting about 18k gold last night. No way I am selling my cloth, herbs, metal, powder or skins as I need those to keep leveling my professions. That said, I am not really embracing the “Patron” system all that well, maybe because I keep getting orders for things I can’t make or way above my quality level.
But yes, I noticed that roughly last three weeks of Dragon Flight and into The War Within the amount of gold we use to get from World Quests has been squashed. It’s funny how I am now seeing advertisements in game and online on my web browser for buying gold.
Take up herb/mining profs. Make sure to dig at the wax sites. There are gold WQs where you can get 700+g from. There are options.
This is also a huge issue. Gating knowledge behind hard crafts is just another slow-down tactic meant to waste either your time farming mats, or gold buying mats, so you can get to a point where you can at least concentrate to get the level they want. And don’t get me started how it promotes wasting resources practicing one recipe that only gives a sliver of experience each craft. It’s all so transparent that it’s meant to time-gate or money-gate professions. Absolutely ridiculous.
All of this will drop sharply later in the xpac.
Profession gold is just player transfer.
It has to come from the game somehow, and raw gold generation got a huge hit with the DR races nerf and the amount of WQ available overall sharply dropped, including gold ones, even if they are about 20% more lucrative than DF’s.
IIRC, BfA have better gold WQ than SL and DF atm.
I have a friend who has just been buying mats off the auction house and selling green profession gear and has made 5 million gold off that since the expansion started.
It appears on the surface that gold generation took a hit leading into TWW with the nerfed DF WQs and the relatively lacking offerings from TWW WQs, but doesn’t each weekly activity cache give over 1k gold? Are these repeatable on alts? It could be that the gold source has just been shifted slightly.
And as always, the AH is not a source of gold generation. It moves gold from one player to another, rather than adding more gold to the game like quests and the like do.
