Wow token is currently around 200k gold, was 160k like two weeks ago after being near 300k leading up to world first race. A token goes for around $20 US and conversion rate if swapped for game time or store credits is $15. So, Blizzard makes a $5 profit per token bought. This will be the new norm if people don’t buy game time in bulk subscription or pay real cash for shop items.
Personally, I’ve never and never plan to buy a token. That said at current prices if I did need to buy one, I would be able to afford 50.
Looks utterly disgusted at the Nerubians “I don’t wanna…”
Because a minority complained about gold being too easy in the last xpac, and Blizzard only listen to 0.01% of the player base.
Why do you think M+ is a complete disaster this season?

I use to only buy tokens to finance some of my alts parked on other realms as I was looking for better prices on Battle pets…now that I can funnel funds directly too them using the warbank…no need to buy tokens anymore…
Even before the warband feature, I would acquire pets on one server or the other then just funnel them to myself since you could have up to 3 at a time of one kind know in your pet book.
I make thousands by crafting. I log in, craft and post on the AH, then log out.
Well I’d rather my alts on other realms have gold to buy to learn pets for my main here…and I really didn’t want to have to quest to build up gold…so buying a token or two wasn’t that bad really…then have to wait to sell one on the realm they are on and have to wait for that sale to go though…
Nod, my original main has 300k gold from 2011. I’ve not checked since the Great Bank Heist if all the vanilla through Cataclysm materials is still in the bank, but I could have used them before War Banks to level all my professions crafting (yes, I went back and leveled old expansions gather and crafting professions even though they are not used anymore) on my current server. I know on my main server, stuff I can buy is usually 1/3rd the price on my original server.

Literally can make gold in this expansion without even trying.

Yea… its fun logging in and making 20k instantly lol.
I literally just mine while I do world content and hit wax nodes as I fly to and from. Post everything when I get back to town.
Id love to see how much Ive made this xpac, considering I’m positive at least 500k after blowing 300k to 400k on crafted stuff, and that’s not including other mats, enchants and stuff lol.

gotsta gotsta sell’em some suit and tie needs a 3rd boat for their 5th house.
I’m positive about the same as you even after blowing stuff into crafting 619 weapons for my dudes and a ton of other profession dumps. Personal crafting though, this way I can recraft as things go on.
My wife is up 2m. Might even be 3m now.
She built different than me.

Started off just under 1M gold at launch of TWW, up to about 2.1M gold now after buying whatever enchants/consumables I need.
I see a node, I mine it,turn it into parts=$$$ Made a lot from fishing too. And I ain’t smart enough to play the AH, so if an mouth breather such as myself can do it, i’m sure anyone else can!
My cousin is like 5m to 6m or something absurd.
He leveled a bunch of toons just from gathering and sold EVERYTHING. Dude was making a mil a week or more. Idk how he was doing it.
They are just better I guess

First two weeks. made 20 m or so. others made 80m lol.
Now, gold potential plummeted.
Nah Im still making 10 to 20k a day from my ores.
Im definitely making it much faster than I am blowing it, that’s for sure.

Hard to complain in my opinion. There is a certain point that everything you really need is within your purchase range and it is well before 80m. Probably a complaint related to tinderboxes.
I think TWW has good and easy gold if you just pay attention. As usual though I guess. It’s enough for my consumables and repair bills as well as my prof leveling so it’s good for me.
10-20k a day is a pittance compared to numbers before.
