i was exaggerating a bit. but r3 alchemical chaos is currently 3k a piece, so i think it’s a reasonable exaggeration

It would appear by your achiv points you’ve been in game quite awhile now…why didn’t you make your gold mass during WoD and Legion where gold was pouring off the mission boards for months and months and months…sure gold coming off quests and WQ isn’t like it before esp the Dragon Racing nerf they did …that was some very easy gold to make doing those on few alts each week…
Don’t forget that one death is an instant 300 gold repair

I passively make more than enough gold for repair bills without farming. Maybe it’s the content or I play differently as I do everything to not die in content even in raids? My old main from 2004-2011 has 300k gold on him still, my new current main 2020-2024 has 4 million on her and overall, I have 10 million.
While I do gather and craft, I craft for free for anyone that asks as I am in a guild of one. I do it because I want to help other gamers/players out.
I know I have a high amount of achievement points, but I didn’t play from 2011-2020. I will show I have a lot of those achievements completed because I went back in and did the content during lows in Shadowlands and Dragon Flight. Still there is a discrepancy in what the game shows and what the forums show in my accumulated points and try as hard as I can, my new main can’t earn some of the points my main had when he quit.

What the heck are you wearing? My deaths when they do happen are around 100-110g, depending on how much damage my gear had before the death. But normally around 100 for a clean death.
Maybe someone took a course in economics and is trying to take inflation out of the game and use deflation techniques by limiting how much gold we generate from content. That said I do see on different characters different rewards between 80 level characters but usually will have between 2400-5600 gold available from work quests a week at times.
Since launch of The War Within I am up about 750k gold even while reinvesting into my professions. While I craft for free and never attempt a craft I can’t max for a person, there just not as many public orders anymore compared to DF.

Fun fact, you don’t really need to do much besides tour the zones to make a boat load of gold this expansion, don’t even need shovels like with DF. Just find disturbed earth, and farm them. They’re everywhere in Ringing depths and fairly common in Isle of Dorn too after unlocking.

You entered no raids/dungeons or delves, didn’t even do a WQ.
It’s also a good source for valor stones as you get one for every wax glob turned in at a 5:5 ratio.

If you spent 900k already since beginning of expac that seems way too much unless you are raiding like 4-5 days with multiple characters. Also, is no one in your guild crafting?
I am not really that big on gold making these days but I have netted over 300K gold this expansion. This is on total income of over 1 Million gold and spending 700K gold on various things.
Blame the gold sellers and Run seller they what did this.
I would blame it more on impatience. Everyone wants things now and can’t take the time to enjoy the adventure along the way. Just because this item is “Best in Slot” doesn’t mean you should buy it, learn to make do. Just because you want to level faster, take the time to socialize and not pay for runs.
Thing is you don’t need hundreds of thousands of currencies to play the game. Just play and passively you will earn the gear, and gold for repairs. Gather materials while you adventure to fund your own professions or sell them.
That said I am now getting more gold selling offered to me through third party websites on my main page of “Edge”. How or why, I don’t know since I’ve only ever visit Wow Forums and WoW-Head.

I have gold still from WoD and Legion now …I was running 14 max out characters though both expansions now…back then you could avg about 20K a day back then if you had enough mission boards going …heck I made 2.5 Million off 8 new battle pets they brought out during WoD…that secret one in the cave on back side of Wintersprings…
I don’t understand how anyone hasn’t stated the most obvious thing - to sell more wow tokens.
Wow tokens are now sub 200k and the cost of things is record high.
Gee who does that benefit.

These DF “everything was too easy” complainers really did a toll on the community and game design. Countless hours wasted per person per week all in the name of time-gating the bottom 95%.
