Why is gold abysmal this xpac

My question/issue is the mats. The AH wants exorbitant prices…doesn’t seem to be goibg down either.

What are you talking about?
Gold is practically falling from the sky.
I have made a couple of million so far.

I haven’t touched professions and I’ve made over 200k gold since xpac release. Mostly from BoEs and mats that drop from delves and outdoor mobs.

I’m up like 2 mil thus far. Just need to know how to farm.

crawls out from under a mountain of gold

Whats that now?

Lol, Hes not. But you sound like a fun person to be around…

Nod, I’ve played for 11 of the 20 years because I left in 2011 and came back in 2020. Since I came back, I started on a new server, have 20 level 70s 10 level 80s and 6 between 71-74. I craft for free if I see someone ask in general chat as I keep trade chat in its own window and hardly ever look at it.

I passively make gold from just questing, vendor’s and world quests. Rarely sell my enchant’s, herbs, ore or skinning as it supports my professions. What money I spend on in repairs is very low because I rarely die, and I don’t really find a whole lot of cosmetic gear appealing, especially The War Within sets.

But I do understand there where sometimes in Warlords of Draenor where the mission tables made some people super rich. Maybe I’m just frugal, I mean you can’t take it with you after all, but I just can’t get into farming again and as long as the game tracks statistics, like deaths, gold etc… I’ll not spend much.

Between my crafting, farming, and table in WoD garrison, I made nearly 1M gold a week. I am too old, and too comfortable with cash to worry about that these days. Now if I dip under 100K, I just buy 4 or 5 tokens, help some players out, and restock my gold.

I am leveling most professions and I am currently about 250k in the hole as compared to stepping into the expansion.

So far, I have made more selling Dragonflight bags than any current profession.

Yeah, this is why I haven’t bothered with mine yet. The cost of mats is so steep it’s not even worth it. Better off buying mana pots than making my own. Hopefully it gets better in due time.

Pretty sure that carried over into BFA and Shadowlands too. Probably why we don’t have them anymore.

Me: When the prices are super high like this… go farming and CASH IN!!

WoW community: but we dun wunna farm. We just buy Token.

Me: OK then, not my problwwmmebbb, sorry… couldn’t finish typing, too busy raking in all the cash from having a dual-gather alt.

This whole crafting system exists purely to motivate players to buy tokens. It’s very transparent.

You don’t know how much I miss simply leveling my profession to 100 and getting recipes. Now it’s almost it’s own game.

You’re here complaining that gold is too hard to get in this thread while someone else is complaining there is too much, from a different thread.

Honestly, you people need to get together at your “WoW Complaints” meetings and get your stories straight.

it’s 800 now.

the shark fish.

Am I missing something? Cause I have seen several world quests that reward 800-1000g a pop so far.

I had a feeling they were in BFA and Legion as well. I know Shadowlands had the occasional gold mission, but I only did it on my main which ironically is where the bulk of my gold sits. I’d have more gold if last expansion I didn’t spend gold to purchase max level on all my heirloom ranks (103/106). Missing the following 3 heirlooms.

  • Brawler’s Razor Claws (Removed from game).
  • Inherited Insignia of the Alliance.
  • Returning Champion

I’m currently up about 400k even while trying to level my professions. Between leveling, world content and vendoring. Since I’m maxed cooking any meat I get from Fishing and NPCs just goes to the market. Any +5, +10 or +20 skill ups from crafting go there as well. Wish the 3 +40 where not soul-bound, that would be bank.

Still trying to figure out the formula. One level 80 sees several world quests that total around 3200 gold. Hop on another 80 and same quests offer different rewards with only about 1600 gold offer. Currently have 10 80s and not one of them gets the same item wither its crests, cyrstals, gear, gold or stones.

I sold 8 null stones and 5 gems yesterday and made 98k after AH cuts. Gold is anything but abysmal if you put in minimal effort lol

Gold is probably easier to come by this expansion than it has been since the gold farms of Garrisons a decade ago.

I’ve made millions while leveling my army of alts with herbalism, mining a lesser extent, skinning.

The caches can give thousands of gold for the weekly events and if you have alts, that adds up really quickly.

The gold that you get from Delves is minuscule, but some of them can be run in a few minutes, the rewards being tiny makes sense for something that can be spammed unlimited.

If you’re struggling to make gold this expansion, then you simply just aren’t playing the game, that’s fact.
