Changes are ok, but original features are not?
Because making RDF function likely requires more brain power than is available to make it function properly. Untested buff require minimal effort.
i find this silly as well players want to experience the older expansions as they happened, this isnt vanilla this isnt TBC this is WOTLK the expansion that RDF was originally added so why refuse to give us it to us (and dont give us the excuse that its because they players dont wait it cause if they do indeed dont want it they can always do play vanilla or TBC classic thats why they exist)
Change is the only constant.
Because its blizzards game and they can do what they want. They made it clear in the annoucement video rdf wouldnt be in the game at the start.
They are listening to feedback on classes and probably looking at data and making adjustments.
Also rdf was introduced with icc we are at ulduar. And there is a lfg feature in game.
That’s exactly what those against re-releasing vanilla said to us when we asked for classic in the first place.
of course they can do what they want like not adding flying in WoD how did that go for them?
blizz has no problem adding H+ a feature that has never existed in WoW before into the game but they wont add duty finder a system that was added during wrath if this is how its gonna be they why the F do we even have WOTLK classic
no wonder so many people have switched over to FF14
This is almost certainly it, look at the piss poor job blizzard did with the LFG Tool. They likely just can’t handle getting it to work right and they’re gas lighting it as “muh socialization”
has Brian Birmingham been hired as Lead Designer at Riot Games or … yeah, I guess I don’t know anything that isn’t Trans-Blizzard or Rito James or Bethesda
Blizzard’s one intern running classic can’t code it in. That’s the only reason. Muh community was just an excuse to cover for their incompetence.
I think it’s a combination of the devs sticking to their original plans and I also think they just have more fun talking to the people who are heavily into this stuff (they are all over the class Discords etc) because those devs find it super enjoyable to deep dive into data. As in, that really is highly enjoyable to them and so they are doing what is fun to them and something that will leave a mark on the game instead of doing what’s actually not so fun but would be best.
I also think they like to talk to the people who are have a ton of fun already with the game instead of talking to the people who have gripes.
IMO the Blizzard devs should look around and fix things that actually matter instead of “having fun” tweaking classes for the people that wouldn’t go anywhere as it is but that’s just my opinion. They will do what they want regardless.
At this point it feels more like the devs are treating wrath classic as their personal sandbox than trying to actually make it an authentic experience.
Yes agreed. They are.
Guild banks are an example of things not being released at the same time they were in the original game. Theoretically had they kept RDF it would have followed the same path other similar features/systems did and been included at start.
Regardless we are 99% not getting RDF in wrath classic. Which is disappointing but manageable.
Exactly right, which is NOT was Classic was sold as. Leave the game alone and save any changes for Season of Mastery.
It would have been nice to see Wrath with no changes. I know the lack of RDF has driven some people away.
I also really wish that Blizzard didn’t use that community line because they clearly care about math far more than any community and they put almost all of their effort into this math. To me only the bug fix changes were good, the rest were a worthless waste of developer time.
Really for those of us who do care about community they’ve thrown us under the bus and let the bus run over us. We are their scapegoat and we keep getting blamed (and YES I see what a few posters have said. I’ve almost totally stayed out because of respect for you all who are passionate about RDF).
Oh well it is what it is. I’m done with the game anyway and am just ranting.
Blizzard loves their raid log game.
RDF means more people leveling alts and playing longer rather than raid logging and unsubbing until the next raid tier.
if you want to be technical , it was at later time , so wait a bit
Yep[. and their sandbox aint fun at times.
At this point…I jsut want linked transfer.
as it was…the first time.
No dungeon social community would be harmed in adding it. You cannot kill that which is dead. its dead already.
hell its not even game dev work. that is…webmaster and sql guru’s. webmaster makes the nice web interface. sql guru’s make tsql scripts to automate transfer of data.
leaving devs to get toc ready so wintergrasp for a new bug lacks water…and snow textures. I often wonder what breaks in WG next. my dark horse bet is snow.
as nothing about Ulduar should have removed WG water, its sadly possible.
