Maybe if the character entirely a book character and therefore never touched by the Game Designers (who really run the story).
Because as soon as it has to be in game, gotta hit that uber strong power fantasy. And a guy in a wheelchair wouldn’t cut it.
Probably never going to get one if we haven’t already. But my guess is these are the ones that she spites for hurting her “Forever War” plan on Azeroth and she dragged them to the Shadowlands to be petty.
Her ignoring Genn, in my personal opinion, was just to be even more petty. “This is how much I don’t care about you or your son; you’re not even worth torturing to em.”
All that’s missing is Fel/Chaos (which, Main Universe Gul’dan just died normally and wasn’t a demon, so Zovaal might have a soul competent in this capacity already) and Shadow/Void (which may be Alleria, but that would’ve been 3 Alliance heroes and 2 Horde heroes)
Because the story requires it, they are working on recreating Warcraft 3 style story. They want him to be more powerful than most because honestly he will probably be a raid boss like Wrathion at some point.
When you got a writer trying to reflect internet blogs towards her characters and the writer naming their IRL pet after them, I think it’s safe to say, Anduin is strong like that, because he’s the writers pet.
Same as Thrall, who got rightfully got called out for that. (Also ROFL at the people still whining about Thrall, seriously? Have you done the Shaman order hall?)
I mean surely there are others a little older than 17year of experience that could out light him? Velen had to have taught others that are hundreds and thousands of years old at this point.
The Draeni has had strong faith in the light for thousands of years.
Because he’s lousy Lich King material. Anduin is like Arthas, he’s a very strong willed character and he’s good with a blade. The Prophet is still going through the PTSD of all of his skeletons being hung out during Legion.
You can’t fly in Exodar. The Jailer’s minions would’ve had to enter the Exodar by the front gate and probably would’ve gotten lost trying to navigate the darn place.
Lor’themar was similarly untouchable, which is why the Jailer had to settle for Baine.
She abducted the biggest proponents for peace in Azeroths governments, she left behind the others that where more likely to start another war in their absence.
I think it’s more of the jailer wants another “lich king” or vessel to repeat another scrouge invasion to bring death to Azeroth. Therefore he takes these guys (Sylvanas probably recommended) and “test” to see if they are worthy or not.
Afterall, he throws Baine when he was deemed unworthy. Then the jailer gets very interested in Anduin after he uses the light to stop the jailor’s death magic.
It is mainly because the writers are out of touch with what makes a character likeable. They like power fantasy for their characters but don’t develop them very well. Plus the play favorites with characters placing them in scenarios they have no place in.
At the same time they strip the player character of any agency when they put characters like Anduin to the forefront with prophecies of him being the chosen one.
Short of getting new writers we are likely to see more of the same with Jaina, thrall, Anduin and Baine being shoved into the center of the story without reason and given powerups to justify it.
