It’s a gear based game, you need both satisfying gameplay and good feeling of progression
I prefer longer progression, we just play different
Guess so, I just want progression to be similar for everyone, my fear is that it won’t be and that raiders will pull ahead.
I disagree. Wow could be mostly the same game without any of the progression.
It’s entirely unnecessary and few would notice if it simply disappeared.
Maybe raiders which most also do M+ will pull ahead over people that only do 1 of the 2 content.
By a marginal number which we can’t even say because it relies on rng.
Raiders will always be ahead, and have always been ahead
Many would quit if it did, we’re here for the purps
See I don’t think it’ll be marginal, well at least not by my definition of the word. If I have 7 pieces of 626 gear after a few months into the patch that’s 5 ilvls I’m missing out on that a mythic raiding most certainly will have filled by then. Which is a huge disadvantage.
And you just gave the reason why Mythic Raiders who also do M+ gear faster.
Idk I remember, or could swear I recall, Ion or someone on the Blizz team back then saying this was meant to be a side/alterate progression system. If it was meant to kill raid logging and keep people playing then they created their own issues.
I imagine many players would prefer Diablo to WoW for that very reason.
But there would most likely be an influx of players who don’t currently play it specifically because of the slot machine game play.
It’s also a side progression system, but that doesn’t mean that the main goal isn’t to make it so people do not raid log. Ion made it clear in an interview that he disliked raid login after WoD.
It’s interesting that, as a side thing, m+ is about 10 times more popular than raiding.
I mean the thing like we’ve been saying is that M+ became pretty much mandatory for raiding so of course it should do better if you have pure M+ player and raiders in it.
that’s not thread, try to keep up. we’re talking about people that can only do 1 or the other. if you pick raid youll be well further ahead than m+
because the logistical filter prevents tens of thousands of players good enough to get CE out of the chance to do so
Actually no, I’m talking about people that do both lmao
I raid on one character… so effectively raid logging, but then I log onto other characters for other activities.
I enjoy raiding but it’s also not a lifestyle.
Why should he care?
great for you, there’s about 50 other participants in this thread
Idk how many play for gear or not, but I do know the most run key level for season 3 was 18, out of any level, because it had max rewards
