Why I'm quitting WoW over Final Fantasy 14

Which asian mobile gaming needs over 10 keybinds to play effectively? You cant realistically do endgame in retail pressing 3 buttons.

Ya, keeping casuals and hardcore alike at the same pace is soo toxic right? Shudve burnout your players.
Or force casuals to insane grinds else cant keep up with the playerbase and leave.

It is obvious you do not.

But FFXIV has currency to protect against bad loot drops.

Something WoW had but got rid of.

Go ahead and add me to this list too. Just canceled my Sub. I’m going to back to FFXIV too.

This very much exists in 14. To claim otherwise is a lie.

Yeah it’s the biggest downfall of wow - the community. It’s so bad. At the end of the day that’s basically your game. Not sure who to blame really, the players or blizzard for creating content that encourage a certain behavior.

And what the guy said above me. It’s a big concern that it’s just way most people are these days. It might not even matter where you go, you’ll run into the wow mentality. It would require a certain type of game to get rid of it.

Personally I find it best to play with people around your own age. Which for some reason is getting harder and harder to come by. I have 1 friend who still plays the game. After all these years I’ve lost so many friends who play the game. Miserable is what it is lol.

FF14 does mitigate that somewhat. In some dungeons, there are “speed bumps”, i.e. locked doors or other obstacles that don’t open until the preceding trash is cleared.

When I was playing FF XIV I did tend to see a lot of the same players. I think it had to do with times I played and the fact many of us were at roughly the same spot in regards to progression. I liked that I saw these folks as over time it made it easier to group up more or less knowing how they played, etc. This was especially advantageous when Eureka came out where I didn’t have to spam chat to find a group.

I did too. Last night. 9 hours left. Cancelled just before the renew.

And I am to. FF14.

I just want to point out that it takes roughly 8 weeks to get full tome gear on one class. So if your not raiding, it takes waaay longer to gear up.

It also takes 4 weeks to get a none raiding weapon beside the relics which are also a massive grind usually…

I know theres the crafted stuff but that not always reliable depending on patches and market board prices.

But at least you are progressing. Same can’t be said with WoW and its total and complete reliance on RNG.

Very long draw out progress. You get faster progress here for sure.

It’s 895 tomes for a chest peice, you only get 450 tomes weekly cap. That’s just 2 weeks for one chestplate…

If you’re lucky. Plus, you can still get drops from FF4. You aren’t tied to the currency.

To everyone quitting for FF14, see you in 9.1.

The main reason FFXIV is the superior game is Red Mage flippy and the hats.

“I can’t be bothered leveling in FF14 if someone isn’t carrying me through the content tbh”

This isnt surprising. Your previous posts made it very clear you expect to me handed everything in life. And when they arent, someone needs to be held responsible for it.

A piece of advice. Try to start sentences without the word “i.” Makes you seem a little less self centered. Practice it and maybe youll be able to enjoy life more when you realize its bigger than yourself.

IDK tho i still meet ppl who think the earth is flat.p

Would you get over it already?

Its too funny and entertaning. I cant.

Also I heard ff14 has a boob slider, honestly that alone is making me think about resubbing

Threads like these help improve the game.

You just come off as butthurt about people not liking what you like.

I love FF14. I play both quite often though more casually there due to time. The story there is the main reason but there are a lot of other great things I like about the game.

Though overall I do believe WOW is superior for in many ways it is more polished than Final Fantasy but again both games are great.

I have plenty of community. being in a great guild helps.
