I wish that we could join in together under the same realm name… maybe leave our original realm names as “sub” name but like put us all together under one super realm name so that it feels more like these are the people you are going to see and play with all the time. It’s just too hard to tell for me sometimes and it does feel like your just hanging around more people you won’t really see too often.
enjoy your everything timed dungeons.
HEY MODS…
you really need to start banning people who abuse the flag…
Literally none of that is an issue in ff14 anymore
LOL my main is a Belf.
Absolutely shocked that the FF14 haters on these forums got triggered and flagged OP.
As someone whos played FFXIV since ARR, the outside world is pretty much dead outside of people doing fates. And Cities tend to be a people either afk dancing catgirls, or gil sellers spaming chat.
The game doesnt have chat channels like WoW so you have to shout to talk to anyone in ONE city.
Also, if you think endgame loot drought is bad here, well you are in for a surprise since FFXIV loot system is just as bad and very linear…
Out side of leveling, this is the normal for end game dungeon. You pull wall to wall and people leave if they don’t like your group…
You’re really running for one sshow to a slightly better sshow lol
I’ve started playing Final Fantast 14 and got overwhelmed cuz I cannot find where to turn in the damn quests, open the map and there are soo many icons that aren’t really intuitive on what they mean.
deja vu.
i think we all went through that.
see you later
I played FF14 once. I quit after only a few weeks. That game is actual trash.
World of Warcraft might be bad, but it is still better than all the others.
This is false. I ran into many people… I forgot them all. Dungeons are silent in FF just like wow.
The MSQ will drive many nuts
Language and toxicity. Literally, if you so much as criticize someone’s low DPS in a PUG you can get banned. In contrast, you see all kinds of inappropriate stuff going down in WoW’s public chat channels. Also, they ban people who habitually file false reports.
Literally just finished installing ffxiv. My
Sub for WoW runs out the 25th and I cant bring myself to even log on anymore. Unfortunately they butchered this xpac imo.
If you don’t actually want to play the game itself, and you just want to raid and collect the highest level gear you can, then WoW is the game for you. If you want a real leveling experience, then you’re better off in FFXIV these days. It sounds like you’re more of a WoW guy. To each their own.
everyone i know that “quit wow for ff14” was back within 6 months.
i don’t know that many people tho
nothing wrong with taking a break from wow to explore other things. but you might find out that the grass isnt always greener
You can’t even use addons in FFXIV. I mean you can, but it’s against there ToS and if you get caught you can get banned. Unlike here, they don’t have a tolerance for things like damage meters and such.
I’m having a similar experience in FF14. I found my FC (FF14 guild) because the leader was a mentor and I was asking questions in the novice network. She has a newbie-friendly FC and everyone was so nice and willing to help. They have a sister FC if I ever want to get into end game content in FF14 (I’m still not even close to end game). I have a lot of friends in WoW, so I am still playing WoW as well.
Most of what I do is solo at this point because the main questline that unlocks everything has a lot of solo quests (with some dungeons mixed in), but I’m so glad that I have my FC to help and answer questions since I’m still a newbie in FF14.
I hope the new player system recently added to WoW can lead to similar experiences.
I quit WoW over minesweeper. WoW has mines and WoW has brooms, but you can’t sweep those mines? Hard pass WoW.
Why do we ask ‘Why’
I hear you about the crafting. WoW really lost me when they for the most part made crafting irrelevant with WoD. I prefer both ESO and FF XIV for the very reason that I can craft gear that is actually relevant to my characters and casual playing style. I also like that both have built crafting into quests and dailies that reward more than 10 Death Blossoms.
