I am up for Tauren looking skinnier if they allow Rogue Taurens.
Not the muscular beefy interaction we have now!

By that logic, Humans need to have enforced skinny models for Rogues because THAT beef brickhouse isn’t sneaking up on anyone.
That’s pushing it, I could not care less about the outlaw/pirate portion of it… we’re talking the non-sense that is a stealth tauren… not a druid tauren who transforms to something small and known for stealth like a cat.
Shadow magic + Tauren =
They descend from mechagnomes who are very dense. The curse of flesh could simply give them more dense flesh that pacts a punch. Very good muscle tissue.
As long as they’re using magic to make themselves invisible their size doesn’t really matter.
If they were not using magic, that would be different, but canonically Rogues use magic to make themselves completely invisible.
… SPriest Tauren? Hello?
Again… lore and logic be damned. They’ve already forsaken it all… I gotta stop clearing my ignores.
Ive said it multiple times… The stealth for me is not the issue… i mean, getting to be stealth…
Moving, and keeping sigility while stealthed would… Then the acrobatics necesary.
You want Tauren Rogues ?, fine… make it super skinny
Orc Rogues and Human Rogues are thick as hell and somehow get a pass?
Tauren aren’t capable of feats of agility? They just have a permanent -2000 to the Agility stat that I see RIGHT THERE?
Well in all technical terms… one who can appear like the population and blend in with ease will logically be the most feared and deadliest assassin, no matter how skinny or beefy they appear.
Also the Sun casts shadows. Thus a shadow-wielding Tauren embraces that side of the balance.
BAM. Justified in 15 words. 14 if you count the compound as one.
Its not as beef, it has a perfect muscle to mass ratio, and weight what ? 90 kg ?, how much do you think those cows weight ?
At the very least, 300 kg, Warriors with the armor, probably 500kg
(Do your math on funny merican system)
They have never seen a Tauren monk yeet them selves with a dragon kick lol. Or heroic leavy with heavy metal plate armor. Tauren can be very agile.
Okay, but the ability to move silently and not worry about object displacement (the biggest issue for any tauren attempting to sneak) can be trained. As for acrobatics, they don’t need to be acrobatic. Orcs are quite bulky, yet they can be rogues without issue.
You are trying so hard to make a point… and failing the whole time.
I just justified the existence of Tauren Rogues in 15 words, and even tied it into the naturalist sun worship they practice.
Yes and orc rogues was already pushing it.
But just because some certain classes didnt make sence in the past. Like Gnome Warriors, Orc Rogues, NE Mages… Doesnt mean that we should stop caring and from now, we make it a circus.
There’s literally no lore which says a Tauren can’t use Shadow Magic man.
And if they can use Shadow Magic, they can use that magic to make themselves invisible. But even if you somehow cooked up a reason to exclude that, they can use alchemy, as invisibility potions, which have the exact same effect, exist in Warcraft lore.
The issue is not the STEALTH…
ITS THE AGILITY
Ok so let’s follow the logic here…. It’s ok for a Tauren to be in stealth if a Rogue casts shroud, they drink a magic potion or are a Druid in Catform. But if that same Tauren where to learn how to Stealth themselves by learning the ways of a Rogue that’s somehow defying the laws of physics?
Rogues stealth is not “sneaking” how we think of it in the real world. If it functioned that way they’d never be able to stealth past mobs in lit areas staring right at them… in other RPG’s however, Rogues need to keep to the shadows to stealth/sneak.
So again, stealth in WOW is more magical than practical, thus size is not a factor.
If WOW were to take size into account in game then it would open a MASSIVE can of worms gameplay wise.
Should Gnomes/Dwarves/Goblins etc be able to move at the same speed as elves?
Should a Human Warrior be able to swing his axe as hard as an Orc?
Should Tauren have increased carrying capacity due to their strength?
