We were both right. Just about different things.
Did…we…just become best friends?
Maybe :> Varick#1437
A Rogue and a Mage becoming friends how odd
Its quite common for ultra-skilled ninjas to get along.
This isn’t WotLK. ultra-skilled and Rogue/mage can’t be mentioned in the same sentence.
Woosh 10 characters
Gotta luv Abom…
Unless you play one I would never complain about a class. That is outside of an actually broken mechanic example Shruiken toss. On my horde mage I was playing frost up until last week. It got so damn hard to get some casts off against all that mongoloid cleaves, so I switch to fire and holy sh1t its been hella fun. =)
If you want casters to cast again you have to take away from melee all those gap closers, range interrupts. I do miss the good old days of setting up shatter combos.
Wow and a mage posted this. If I could like this with all my likes for the day i would. Keep on fighting the good fight lol.
Kaleiki is asleep at the wheel
Yikes @ the guy who said fire mage actually globaling people is the only thing keeping it viable. Like were you here for the middle-later parts of legion? Fire wasn’t killing people in a half cheapshot with unstoppable instant casts during that time period and it was still a god-mode spec.
right lol as if the consistent 1v3s and instant sustained dmg that wmp/fmp could do was trash or something
I had no idea fireblast could be casted while casting. That was a revelation of horse shiit if you ask me.
It’s also off global. (obviously)
Actually comical that a first time glad fire mage actually tries and justify this. First off, congrats on the first time glad, you and just about every other mage that found fire to be “fun to play” like everyone else. I know you’ve been in numerous other forums about fire mages trying to justify this, you do realize that dispell being on CD is one of the biggest buffs mages could have gotten right? You have 3 different schools on which you are able to cc (dragons breath, ring of frost/frost nova/polymorph) For the sake of the people complaining about greater pyro, either you get kicked on pyro in which you instantly start spamming poly or you get kicked on poly and spam greater pyro. I personally don’t care about the greater pyro, its nothing more than a gimmick. There is a reason 99% of mages are rerolling fire, the spec is insanely broken, whether its because of azerite traits or the instant damage, whatever the case may be, playing a fire mage has been actual cancer to anyone who isn’t playing it/with one. You talk about all these “noobs” and “learning the basics.” Yet a healer can play at a pillar 40 yards away from a mage and get polyed because mages for some reason are able to blink while casting and punish a healer for having the correct position. Outplayed right? It’s insane that everyone actually just jumps ship from their current spec because they overreact to nerfs/buffs most likely because they see their favorite streamer switch specs. Specs don’t just get “fun” overnight, they switch because they are performing better than they should because Blizz hasn’t figured out how to balance around azerite traits. I don’t understand how mages can complain about needing buffs for other specs for damage, you literally have an enormous toolkit. Spammable cc, 3 schools, mobility, the ability to steal other buffs, shields/self healing among a few. Why do you feel that you need to just have an insane amount of tools? Everyone played arcane for a reason in legion, everyone played frost in wod (had the deep/sheep or if you got stopped, you could cast the thing that rooted/silenced (dont rememeber the name of it) into sheep, while having double blink or casting while blinking i believe?)
I really don’t know what they can do to help balance this other than disabling azerite traits, but it’s actually disgusting queing into the same 5 comps over and over, mostly fire rmp/pala. This has been the least amount of fun I have ever had playing this game and it seems to be the same for most of the player base that isn’t queing one of said comps over and over
Keep fire mage damage stupid high so I can kill them with Netherward. Lower fear mana cost so I can continue to fear that 4 sec GP throughout the match and not be countered by a mana cost.
It should be noted I absolutely love sending GP’s back by trinketing Kidney right before the cast goes off, double coiling rogue and healer, and sending bolts C.O.D. to mage’s faces. Like the only time outside of Infernal I can land a kill.
Yeah until the mage spellsteals Netherward and then you die in a smoke bomb
Netherward only lasts 3 seconds. If he spellsteals it then it won’t matter because the next two GCDs are going to be havocing and mortal coiling the other two players. The only thing he has is interrupt at that point.
I’m not going to use trinket reflect on something where I have my mage sitting in a poly or something. That’d be silly.
I was trying to be funny
