Why has the Horde not advanced at all?

Look up “cob” houses

This isn’t true. There is a whole schism storyline in their history that is why High Elves even ended up in the EK.

I mean it’s truly been that way since classic the dirty green skins have always been zug zug, they may laugh at us knife ears but at least we are civilized, truly a barbaric group of people hmph

The way the horde lives still absolutely make sense.

The novel “Rise of the Horde” shows orcs before the corruption. They were semi-nomadic, and their culture centered around “the hunt.” The were basically like Native Americans or Native Africans. They were essentially taken as slaves by Kil’jaeden, but even worse they were actually corrupted down to their own blood into something violent.

By the time the Thrall came to form the new horde, they were either living their corruption, or those who’d escaped the grasp of the corruption were largely an oppressed people.

Of course, orcs want to honor and recapture their original heritage by going back to their roots before the corruption. Still today you have native American reservations where they try to keep their heritage alive.

As for other races, the Tauren were pretty much the equivalent of orcs before orcs were corrupted, so it makes sense they’d find a kinship. The undead alliance mostly started as a strategic alliance to have a foothold in the eastern kingdoms. It was justifiable morally because the undead said they were also an outcast people just like the Orcs lost their homeland from the corruption and the Tauren lost much of their cultural land to the centaur. When they allied they didn’t know about the deep-seated desire for revenge that Sylvanus had.

The darkspear trolls that joined the horde were also outcasts from their own heritage because they refused to worship the snake god or whatever you’d want to call it. They all came together as a bunch of outcasts. Sure they had their own heritage and culture, but they were all oppressed peoples who came together because of their shared trauma.

The alliance is made up largely of the people who had it easy - if you wanna talk modern b.s. they are the privileged peoples of Azeroth. I know there’s much more to it than that. Each race has its own history… Humans, Gnomes, and Dwarves for example are all directly descended from creations by the titan… but if anything that actually helps my argument rather than weakens it.

Orgrimmar is a homeless camp lmao

You probably live in a country right now whose entire economy is being propped up by two wars. That’s the civilization you live in.

And?

I don’t really wanna get into modern politics, but all those wars are doing is widening the divide between the rich and the poor. That’s why some people don’t want them to end… it’s not about protecting or saving anybody… especially the one that started first. That one could have been easily prevented if they didn’t want it to happen. It wasn’t some kind of surprise attack out of nowhere.

And they have complex architecture and technology. Meanwhile the people who live in mud huts are just chilling, not bothering anyone. So I would be careful about who you consider a savage.

You realize you’re the one saying anything about irl people being savages, right.
That’s you.
The Horde isn’t real.

So what you’re saying is the fel-corrupted orcs drown babies, while literally every other member of the Horde doesn’t.

Ok.

No, but othering and how you perceive other cultures through your worldview is real. Whether those cultures are digital or otherwise. The Horde and The Alliance are actually real, because the game is played by people, who populate both factions.

By this same logic you can argue video game violence causes violence in real life.
And you would in reality be just as wrong and foolish.

And those people are real people, not actual members of the Alliance and Horde.

Also it’s funny you pick me for this when the other guy was literally requesting more bloodshed. But I suppose it’s an expected priority for an Orc, lmao.

Threads like this prove exactly why the faction conflict should be alive and well.

And those mistakes haunt the Horde to this very day.

It translates into real world dollars when horde players finance the alliance side of expacs and get jack poop in return. Alliance players get welfare expacs funded by hard working horde dollars. And no, I don’t want to play humans, short humans, or purple humans.

It translates to nothing because fantasy racism does not to actual racism equate, as was earlier so ineloquently implied.

It has nothing to do with IRL racism it has to do with me paying the same subscription price but getting less content which is something all players should be upset about.

Edited to add, love people who play fem worg so no hate to you personally. I’m more just expressing my dislike of blizzards inability to make any story for the horde

If it didn’t, you wouldn’t have said:

But you did.
And I understand why you’d want to shift away from that, because it’s obviously ridiculous.
