She is a vulpera that has vulpera fans, and that’s all you need to know about her.
Yeah, like I thought she’d have been more scrappy. I guess I’d be a little (okay a lot) creeped out by being captured by spiders, but she seemed more like a joke character than I’d have liked. Then again seems like gnomes, goblins, and now vulpera get hit with the silly comic relief bat more so than other races so I can’t say I’m too surprised.
Admittedly I really enjoy Flynn’s personality. I just think he’s neat-o, but I can understand why he’d just be some dude to players who only play Horde. I have a feeling that the next expansion, or future patches will primarily include Horde development. I heard rumors that Silvermoon is getting redone so I think that’s a decent hint it will be, at the very least, a shift.
I was talking about her strange writing in Hallowfall.
Vulpera are supposed to be survivalists, but she acts like a scared little child in Hallowfall quests.
I have Vulpera characters, and Vol’dun was my favorite BfA area for a number of reasons, so I know who Meerah is, and this Hallowfall version of her doesn’t fit her character.
If anything Midnight will be about elven unification, so there’s more risk of Alliance stealing the spotlight.
I hope there’s no neutral silvermoon.
There are two camps of Vulpera. She’s in the cutie uwu camp.
Actually I don’t do that. I figure that if Blizzard isn’t concerned that their precious “story” is utterly broken as presented to new and returning players, there’s no reason for me to care either. No, I’m not going to buy a garage full of garage sale books to read and try to figure out what made it into later content, what was never part of the game, and what was later reconned away.
I mean he is a sailor/scallywag type of guy. The drinking is a pretty common trope for that archetype.
I hope not. While I do primarily play Alliance (though I keep up to date on Horde and Alliance lore), I was pretty disappointed in the lack of Horde as well. I did enjoy the brief Lillian Voss appearance but that was pretty short lived.
good gravy my guy, get over it. it’s one quest and you’re mad it’s not thrall
do you also get mad when quests introduce NEW characters?
you’re being ridiculous
I repeat from earlier, DO YOU KNOW THE STORY OF EVERY QUEST GIVING NPC?
Methinks not.
All you need to know is that there is a fellow living being that needs your help and is in a bit of a really super bad spot of trouble. You shouldn’t need to have some personal connection to help them, we are the champions of Azeroth, not the champion of only people we know.
There are plenty of faction specific characters that the opposing faction have quested with several dozen different times through out WoW history.
Don’t encourage op’s lack of basic empathy. Only a psycho would need a solid reason as to why they are helping somebody who is bleeding and poisoned.
And like I said, this Hallowfall version of her doesn’t match what I remember seeing of her in Vol’dun, so…yeah, a bit confused.
At least if you looked stuff up on Wowpedia, you could just ignore the books and get all the relevant info that way lol
It doesn’t have to be. It’s just a tired old stereotype because the writers were just lazy. Not every sailor needs to be a stumbling drunk.
Just like it’s getting tiresome that every dwarf is a drunk, too.
Even the Earthen who shouldn’t even be drinking in the first place.
If I had loremaster maybe.
I literally never said that.
Google is free…
I had no problem with Flynn being there and I’m Horde.
He’s a fun character.
His cheekiness amuses me. He was my favorite part of the TS storyline during BFA.
Yeah other than escorting him from Freehold, I enjoyed questing with him on my Alliance toons.
Yeah, the only part of his quests I didn’t like is that stupid part with him after the sirens bit.
I’m not sure what you think your point is.
The fact is that lots of times there are clear allusions to background that has either not been presented anywhere in the game or was at some earlier time. You may not recognize this as something that is not self-explanatory to a player who doesn’t have the history of background that is actually necessary for understanding of what’s going on, because you do have that history.
Again, “The Black Prince Returns”. Am I supposed to know this guy? What is he returning from?
…she’s the one that sang cutsie songs to her alpacas.
If you look at Nisha, the one who wears the severed head of her enemy as a hat, the difference is pretty obvious.
