Why Flynn?

My wife and I are Horde exclusively. I leveled a few Alliance when Blizzard told separate storylines, but Horde has always been my home.

anduin ‘andy’ wrynn or johnny anduin wrynn the third

he was always ‘Gazlowe the best fixer I know’ to me.

Monte.

A correct analogy would be imagine if Anduin was always called “King Wrynn” in the game, and suddenly in Hallowfall he shows up as “Anduin Wrynn”.

not everyone, I cannot stand playing alliance. I’ve tried, but it’s unbearably bland to me.

Thought it was a little odd, but didn’t mind it. Flynn’s a fun guy in bite-sizes. A later chapter you get to hang out with Lillian Voss for a bit so I guess that’s kind of the balancing act

He does kinda look like a Steven.

We could call him ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Andu Wrynn.

They will learn to love him though! Flynn is great!

It’s only “bland” because of your preconceived notions.

You’re biased against the Alliance, so when you try Alliance, you’ve trained yourself to hate it from the onset and so you hate it.

You don’t give it a chance, and the game has a huge uphill battle to fight to even have a chance for you to even give it a fair shake.

Saying it is “bland” is kind of disingenuous, because there’s quite a lot of variety depending on what race you start as, just like there is with Horde.

There really isn’t much different between the two factions, especially since how the past few expansions, 99% of quests and dialogue are exactly the same between the two.

They aren’t the the opposite faction’s spymaster’s boyfriend. :person_shrugging:

Or why Lillian Voss then? These threads are so dumb.

But if your Horde character doesn’t know him, how would he know that?

Eeeeh.

I have mixed opinions of him. Some of his dialogue in BfA was rather eyeroll, esp that quest where you rescue him from the sirens, constantly grumbling on about being with a hangover, needing a drink, etc.

Yet another Drunk #2838292 … I swear all the storywriters at Blizz are alcoholics and are late for their AA meetings.

She doesn’t have a statue in Stormwind while being pushed as neutral.

unpopular opinion but Lillian is a sanitized, tame and safe take on the NuForsaken now, very much heading towards an Alliance palatable rebranding of the race…

I must have missed Flynn’s statue.

Though I wouldn’t be surprised if he put one up of himself.

Voss had a whole chapter in the Emerald Dream patch

Did she?

I will admit I missed that part of DF. I came back to WoW during the tail end of season 3, took a hiatus and came back again like 2 weeks before Prepatch.

So much content to go back over, lol.

or, and hear me out- I have actual pride in my faction identity on the Horde side, which apparently is no longer acceptable in this community.

you obviously think that a negative flaw on my part.

like why are our forum backgrounds color coded then? we should all be beige if we’re just one big happy family and it doesn’t matter.

TBF Shandris was also part of that questline.

IDK, I’ve enjoyed seeing NPCs from both factions. I main horde but my guildies fill me in on the different horde npcs and I tell them about the alliance ones. Been enjoying it!
