Why doesn’t more alliance turn WM on

I like gankin lowbie horde or afk players.
Whenever i see horde my level i run away or make friends with them

Most of the time you’re being ganked, spawn camped, outnumbered, overmatched, etc.

Warmode isn’t fun because PvP in thai game isn’t fun. There is no benefit to having it on as well. If you want a real PvP experience, play a game that is actually PvP based.

I believe the crux of the issue is that Alliance players play very scattered and alone and rarely in groups of 2s or 3s or 4s. While every Horde I see, they are never alone, always in like groups of 2+ and are working together. Another issue is population density, my server is 70% Horde, servers need to be split 50/50 to maintain healthy factional competition. Out of so many years of playing this game, I rarely ever see Alliance 2+ groups doing quests together, I only see solo Alliance players who constantly get ganked by Horde who are in groups of 2+, so I really do hate people who go around chanting that Alliance are not good at pvp and are scared to put WM on, that simply is not the case. The truth I have outlined above. The Horde never plays fair, they are opportunistic, they will attack you if they see they have numbers.

Thus I don’t know if this issue can be fully cured as Horde mentality is far different from Alliance mentality. Horde will always group up, but Alliance never groups. The solution is Alliance players need to start adopting the Horde mentality and start grouping up when doing quests etc. If they don’t and if they continue to venture alone by themselves, well, expect a lot of Horde ganks.

There was once this time where I saw a 120 warrior who was getting attacked by 3-4 horde, I felt so bad for him, though I was underleveled, I still jumped in to help him, this is how it is when you play Alliance, you are always outnumbered.

But we don’t WANT to! We are PVE players, who have zero interest in fighting other players!

Moral: not everyone in the world is just like you.

I used to be always with WM on , and turned it off whenever i’d go Goldshire to chill.

One time, some weird bug or whatever, made it so that I was left with WM OFF (despite clicking and having the green circle)… I was shocked by how many people were there at Boralus.

Haven’t gone WM since.

the same for me only time i see hord is when there running with a party and farming ally players it just gets old mate

How do you change server groups? Do you have to move your toon? Can you choose?

Because Horde outnumber Alliance on most servers apparently.

83.6% Horde VS 16.4% Alliance. Now you know why I keep WM off.

NO shoot sherlocke!

One server isn’t really proof of an balance, especially with sharding.

This is a very good question. I have been Horde from Day #1 and decided to hit up Alliance for the story.

What a let down. I tired WM On since I have always been on a PvP Server and what a let down. It was a gank fest of like 20:1… Tried it with a guild, it went from 20:1 all the way up to 20:5…

Needless to say I wanted to actually finish things so I had to turn it off.

I play with WM on and my Alliance toons are never ganked or camped while my Horde toons are ganked and camped wherever I go. That’s my Wm experience.

Almost universally, for the Alliance WM is an escape mechanism allowing them to escape for ceaseless ganking, not something to allow them to continue to serve as free kills for groups of enemies. That’s why WM has become nothing more than free bonuses for Horde toons. And that’s how it will probably stay.

I do, when I get on my Horde character and need to find a group to do stuff.

Sadly, that’s pretty normal. WM is an interesting idea, but I think they missed very badly on getting the outcome they wanted with it.

When I play any toons ally or horde wm never goes off unless I need to give a ride to a low lvl toon on a 2 person mount and game kinda forces you to turn it off. My experience has been that a lot of ally players are not very good at the game. M+ is dreadful tanking heroics for the satchels painful as can be raiding is pathetic and pvp is a joke. Ally always cry its cuz of horde racial but I think its that most of the ally players I have seen really do just suck at the game. This is just my opinion like it or not

Because I’m bad at PVP and I’m not going to give you an easy win.

“Bribe people to do something they don’t enjoy” isn’t really that interesting to me. Nor is it particularly new. They’ve done it plenty of times now. It never works.

Which won’t be enough, and will end up as a 30% bonus for Horde only – just like now.

The only real way to fix the issue is to remove all bonuses. That way, the only people in War Mode will actually want wpvp.

i think there are a lot of issues that have caused the absence of many alliance players from warmode. from personal experience it is due to horde never fighting fair and attack in packs most of the time, so i turned off my warmode. but that makes things worse for other players and will make some of them turn off warmode as well, and the cookie crumbles.

but lets look at pre BFA numbers to help understand this issue a little more. lets assume that realm pop that showing a 60:40 population horde to alliance and assume nobody has an alt (i find horde players have just as many alts as alliance so population shouldn’t differ by more than 1 or 2% due to them), that means there are 50% more horde than alliance when starting off BFA. that is already a large difference so some alliance players will preemptively turn off warmode knowing what will happen.

now to look at why horde out numbered alliance 60:40. it all started when the best of the best swapped races to be with the best racials. it happened when horde had it, it happened when alliance had it. but then all the people who idolize these players followed them with the hope that somehow the racial ability would carry them in w/e they may desire. and so because horde had stronger race abilites for longer, population skewed in their favor, but not because they were stronger, but because when you want to recruit better players, you go to where the higher density of them are, so guilds and other players followed the trend and after 10 years of blizzard neglecting this we are in the state of current wow.

when a friend tells me they want to join wow, i tell them go horde because there are more players to play with there. not because better race anymore, or because alliance suck, because that isnt true, there are plenty of good players left on alliance, but because with more people it means better economy and better selection of guilds.
