You mean ally fight in packs dont you cuz its normally like 5 or 10 ally v 1 horde only time I find ally to kill
The bonus for horde isn’t changing, only for alliance is it increasing.
I’m grateful for the ability to turn off warmode. It pains me that I’m not there every time a disgusting horde tries to gank my Dad or Granddad.
Wpvp stopped being fun when they merged servers. The balance always sucked …but it just got massively worse.
Playing alliance was hardmode on my pvp servers. I don’t know if anyone remembers what a hellhole the Isles of Quel’danas was but all new content became that bad.
It just got worse because what would happen was being ganked repeatedly would put you behind so far that now you are out numbered, out geared AND out leveled.
Sitting around watching my 2 min rez timer tick away just to get gibbed as soon as I rez. That’s when you turn off the game and find something better to do. Like not play Wow.
They won’t do what they need to do, so by doing things like this they can claim that they’re “trying” to help. They’re not stupid.
They’re not stupid.
funny, if they were smart about listening to people during beta, then people wouldnt have crapped all over BFA on media platforms. but when issues that were very well reported such as shamans being not fun, or some classes just not being playable in high level mythics, or how boring island expidetions were and yet blizzard said “beta’s small population is the reason why”.
yes they are very smart about PR, because azurite comes down to dps it gives, and everybody with a brain also told blizzard that azurite with wrong traits is like armor with wrong stats, because it gives so much less dps as to be useless. but blizzard said azurite would make this game super fun and exciting, just like paying x2 gold every reforge is a fun mechanic of azurite and makes it exciting…
yes very smart about it. seems like the smart efforts of blizzard are working so far.
and they do it in groups of 2s, 3s and 4s, especially when you least notice them around, they are cowards. Back in Legion, they usually used to attack me but they couldn’t kill me lmao, so I had these 2-3 horde chasing me and trying to kill me for half an hour until they gave up. I love being a priest.

Because they are looking at everything on paper, where it looks GREAT! But without listening to real player input (as well as an obvious dearth of Alliance representation on the dev team) they’re always going to come up short.
loosing subs does not look good on paper, blizzard was just trying to ride on the fact that “i am the owner of wow, nothing i do is wrong because the players will eat up all my mistakes, nothing can get worse than WoD” was the mindset they went into BFA with because there is no way to look at bfa and think wpvp will work. there was no way that keeping world quest was fun, because nobody enjoyed doing world quest either, but blizzard seemed to think world quest were “relevant”. blizzard needed a reality check, and a loss of subs(aka money) is how its done for a company. i just hope they take this lesson forward and listen to the people when asking for things that keep us subbed

I was playing on Stormscale during BC. I remember the roving Horde gank pack raids very well. Alliance couldn’t do anything for the first 2 weeks or so. Dailies were a no go, during prime time hours. And don’t even think about running Magister’s Terrace. The summoning stone was off limits to Alliance players and you were better off using a Lock’s Closet when you managed to get inside.
Never again will I be Horde player’s content. Warmode stays off.
It wont change until the sharding is fixed. The numbers are just too far out of wack. If and when larger numbers of alliance turned it on, then large numbers of horde who really dont gave a clue about pvp but use wm for the buff knowing they will almost always outnumber the horde will give up and the horde will start filing the same complaints which will be justified. Blizz should drop the bonuses from it and just rely on the assassin part as a reward. Then, the alliance wouldnt really have a valid complaint, most of the fair weather fans on horde would drop it and more alli would flag up as the shards evened out.
Heres the deal. The horde already outnumber the alliance and every time blizzard does something that either truly benefits just the horde, as has turned out to be the case with warmode, or is perceived to benefit the horde over the alliance, it costs them alliance players. People either switch to horde which causes a shift by a factor of two or they just leave the game for one in which the bias is less apparent. Either way, when enough alliance leave a server,it causes other people to leave and perpetuates a domino effect of suck. Its not a hard logical path to follow and it has been posted in enough threads by now that you would almost have to be deliberately obtuse to miss it.
You are kidding, yeah? There are far more horde players killing groups than alliance. Thanks to sharding issues, most alliance are vastly outnumbered.
There is only so many times you can be killed by 2 + rogues or a party of 10 who just camp you …
Not worth the hassle to have it on anymore
THIS is so true…
Why has everybody in the alliance side given up ?
No one has “given up”, what you are seeing is the the answer to Blizzards question, “given the choice, would you like to pvp or not?”
Guess what.
They said no.
Is this any different from pvp servers prior to warmode? The idea of trying to balance the players in warmode is a bit ridiculous. Even if they did balance the players in warmode, they aren’t likely to balance the players in the zone, unless they make sharding take into account # of faction and not just # of players. But even then most will still not have it on because they don’t want a fair fight. It’s why you had pvp servers with an 8 to 1 ratio for each faction. Why are we even pretending that pvp servers were ever balanced? Normal servers are horde heavy, RP servers are alliance heavy. Eventually RP servers are going to attracted the alliance side who wants to join a “pvp” server. The same way the 8 to 1 ratio alliance pvp server attracted alliance. The separation of sharding will create the new seperate" horde and alliance pvp servers".
Imo warmode was a neat idea, but ultimately destined to fail. All they had to do was look at the pvp servers to see what would happen. The majority of people who want a “pvp server” experience are not looking for a fair fight. They want to be the ganker not the ganked.
You guys just don’t want to.
Correct.
debatable here. iv leveled both an alliance and a horde. when i leveled my horde i was getting camped by capped players so much i had to turn it off from about 80-110 and few times from 110-120 (mainly from 110-115 after that i could more or less put up a fight).
However when i played my alliance 95% of the time when i came across a cap horde they usually just waved at me and i went on questing.
I think warmode is fine for those that want it. however they need to merge some warmode servers together. there are obviously some that have more alliance than horde but horde is definitely the majority.
Ion, you know, the guy who actually sees the numbers, disagrees with you. The problem of horde ganking Alliance in Warmode is so bad that he’s increasing the bonus to 30%. And YES, it’s because of horde ganking…
Hazzikostas said said Blizzard suspects many Alliance players had “rough experiences early on and opted out” of War Mode, and the increased rewards may bring people back in.
