Why doesn’t more alliance turn WM on

So I’ve always been on a player VS player realm and now with warmode on it’s a ghost town out there, nobody for example in duskwood has it on ,where before that was the go to for interesting pvp defending Darkshire. but when I turn it off it’s teeming with alliance. If we alll turned warmode on and made an effort to fight back we would no doubt win. Why has everybody in the alliance side given up ? Alliance turn warmode on and learn the trade of world pvp!

because 10 vs 1 isn’t really PvP or fun LOL

There are quite a few Alliance and Horde in WM on my server, but there’s pretty much an unspoken pact to not bother each other while we get WM bonuses. It’s kind of funny.

PVP isn’t fun in World of Warcraft. That is the largest part of it.

people are economical with their time.

Warmodes 10% bonus is worth it if the 10% of your time fighting makes up for the lost exp/rep/etc. If you are alliance, you are spending way more time than that running back from the graveyard. And if you do it for the love of pvp, the moment you kill one horde the entire faction come running because they haven’t seen an warmode alliance in hours.

Warmode is NOT a good use of time for alliance.

The best solution would be to scrap it entirely since at this point its just a bs flat 10% bonus to the horde. The only other way to fix it is going to be much bigger incentives for alliance to turn it on, or zone caps to ensure something resembling balance.

Population disparity I suppose. My dad once turned on WM and the moment he went to do a quest he got roflpwned by a group of Horde. The number of Horde with WM on is super high so Alliance would need to organize themselves and ALL turn on WM at the same time in order to fight back. Since such organization is impossible, I see there always being a WM issue.

My hate of pvp is why I don’t.

It never has been. Every few expansions Blizzard tried to bribe people to get into it, or changes things to try to “improve” the experience for those who PvP.

And every time, they wind up with even fewer PvPers than they started with.

More alliances will activate War mode when this is important for Alliance players!

It’s not important at the moment, it’s not rewarding and it’s no fun to attract more participants!

They can even give you 100% bonus on something, and yet it will not work, unless something is given that appeals to people’s interests!

At the moment it is not arousing the desired interest!
For me, it’s not something important so I will not do it!

They maybe more inclined to next patch, since the bonus for them on ptr has gone up to 30% and but we’ll see if that works out. Primarily the more pvp oriented players I think tended to go horde in the first place so that maybe a reason.

For all the reasons people have brought up here basically it’s not our style of gameplay and we don’t care to participate. The coming changes to increase ‘incentives’ won’t change that either because there is no viable ‘fix’ for this when most of the people that want PvP are by and large already on horde.

Player Vs Player in World of Warcraft
:rofl::joy::rofl::joy::rofl::joy:

Call me when they introduce RVR akin to DAoC and Warhammer Online.

Actually don’t, Blizz would just butcher it.

Only time I see Ally in War Mode on Area-52 is when they are in 40 man raids and camping quest/flight points. Don’t blame them one bit.

It’s gotten alot better, the forums are behind the times. They also won’t stop exaggerating.

Just yesterday my brother and I were ganking Horde non stop in Nazmir with tons of Alliance.

What are the benefits really?

Back at launch yeah sure getting profession mats from bounties was great, now whats the point??

I’ve been playing since ~2006 (I think? started about 5 months before the end of vanilla), so for over 10 years, I’ve generally avoided world pvp.

not gonna change now. warmode solidly off.

The pool of players who have any interest interest in PvP beyond a few random BGs here and there is just smaller, that’s basically it.

It’s because they don’t want to.

It’s not because we roll them or that they want more rewards. (Because we get rolled all the time when Alliance group AND you get nice gear and pvp points when you do the kill 10 weekly quest. Do you really need more rewards?)

They just don’t want to. That’s just how the Alliance is. It’s weird.

Not really, if you consider that the majority of PvP players are on horde because like tends to group with like. Most people on alliance aren’t really interested in PvP in general, if they were they would be on horde most likely.
