Why does the community wants things to be Exclusive

Do you realize that you are in the same response telling me to not force my play style onto you, all while telling me it’s okay for you to force yours on me. Games are boring without rewards soo…

If someone laughs at you, kick them in the bits.

Anyone whose advice is worth taking won’t laugh at you.

When people laugh at me, I just laugh back. Usually they expose themselves in some way which shows their own flaws to pick at. But I’m sure you probably seen me do that a few times.

Because ilvl means nothing in WoW. You can achieve high ilvls and be totally clueless about your class or fight mechanics.

How am I forcing my playstyle onto you? You can go be inclusive and play with people who play sub-par specs / builds all you want man. I don’t care. Why can’t I play with people with good gear and good specs?

To add onto this, not only has the hard content gotten harder, the lines between people who are capable of handling the content and who aren’t have blurred a lot.

You used to be able to tell if someone was ready for content simply by looking at their gear.

If they had Mythic (or Heroic, or Naxx40, or whatever) Raid level gear, they were a Mythic Raider since that was the only source to get that gear. But for better or for worse that line has blurred a lot in the last few years, especially with the introduction of M+.

For example, I’ve never even killed M Wrathion on my Monk and really most of my experience in Nya’lotha is purely for trying to feed our main raiders some Ra-den weapons. But because I do my weekly 15 on my Monk, I’ve outgeared almost all of Mythic Nya’lotha completely.

Could I tank it? Probably. But that’d only be because I’ve seen the fights dozens (if not hundreds) of times, albeit from a DPS PoV.

You can’t really look at someones gear these days and while you can say they are geared enough for X content, the implication that being geared enough for that content no longer applies due to how efficient M+ is as a gearing system even if you just do a weekly 15.

I dunno the specifics of Frost, but on Wrathion I normally hit whatever no-one else is hitting since else it dies before I can ramp up,

On Maut, if it’ll kill you, it’s not worth casting period. I don’t cast Chaos Bolt during Maut, even if I get VoP procs.

Also watching someone one-shot themselves on Maut will never not be funny.

It’ll be fine. It’s not ideal, but if you’re looking for basic gaps within your rotation (like not capitalizing on procs efficiently enough, or mistiming cooldowns), it’ll be adequate.

You are dictating that I shouldn’t have gear just because it deflates your own sense of achievement.

So you think rewards should just be random and not based off of what you accomplish? What if thats how it was in life? Some dude who works to go to school, learn his trade, etc hard gets a random salary of 15 an hour and then another dude who signs up for a job washing dishes gets a random 15 dollars an hour.

I mean obviously you can see how weird that is right?

Generally I try to throw a Frozen Orb and Blizzard into a large cluster of shards, then try to find a more solitary spike to do my single-target on. I dunno if that’s right, just something I kinda went with.

Yeah I agree. xD It’s something I learned not to do very, very quickly, lmao. It’s just a major DPS killer. I can imagine Chaos Bolt having the same issues as GS.

Alrighty, sounds good. I’ll watch that video and try to produce a log when I wake up later.

Thanks for the help everyone, it’s greatly appreciated. Off to bed, have a good one y’all!

I used to run Infinite Stars. Keyword, used to.

A 400k reflect after a very greedy 200k Chaos Bolt definitely contributed to changing my mind on that particular corruption.

What part of a game being about fun don’t you get? This isn’t life please don’t try to compare the two.

What part of people enjoy being successful in their hobbies don’t you get? Just because ItS juSt a GamE to you doesn’t mean you get to tell other people that they have to enjoy it like that too.

That’s fine, but your now failing at following the conversation. We was discussing reward structure. What rewards I get doesn’t affect you, and really isn’t your business.

That’s the fun of the game for people. To max their character out and strive towards accomplishing something in game. Its the whole point of RPGs… build up your character doing more challenging content each time. Its the foundation of the genre.

Awesome, and how does what gear I have and how I get it, affect you in that area?

Ah see here I was thinking it was about you being “excluded” from content. Wonder why I thought that…

Because you wasn’t following the side conversation that was taking place and jumped in the middle?

Your gear doesn’t affect me… My gear affects me. If I can get the same iLvL doing heroic difficulty and a easy m15 each week, what is the point of getting 20 people together for 9 hours a week when we can do this in 1 hour…

Massively wrong. Unless you somehow got super lucky higher end content got the rewards much faster then those who did it with lower content. Curious why you believe otherwise? Did you get fed some false information somewhere that TF happened more often then it did?

No, I had every tanked maxed for my guild and ran heroic / m+ on each of them. I raided mythic with two of my toons. At the end of the tier, my gear on heroic toons was just as good as my mythic toons. My paladin (heroic) was actually better than my dks (mythic).
