Did… did you just, with zero self awareness, say the Horde’s loss rate in 2005 was entirely a L2P issue but the Alliance loss rate is entirely to blame on game design? Are you forgetting premades were routinely overcoming those “better racials” and Horde-favoring map literally just days ago?
I’m just slowly making my way to Rank 10 and never touching this god awful, poorly designed BG ever again in my life. I don’t play alts so I won’t have to worry about stepping foot in that garbage ever again.
I suggest you should too. Maybe spike the Horde queues up to 3 hours and then maybe it can die.
Yes, With great coordination the better pvp racials and horde favoring map can be beaten back. Sadly though without the coordination of 25+ people its really hard to even get past SHGY. You have a Shorter distance to SFGY, a shorter distance to Balinda, A better choke point at IBGY ( It can only be hit from one way and you can escape it to attack from another while SHGY is just a HK fest for horde). Dont get me wrong i dislike the premade AVs whole heartedly. i think they did need to stop but i also think a few things in AV need to be change to make it an even playing field and make it the PvP fest it should be.
Both the Alliance and Horde where complaining about the premade teams, lets get that set straight. Due to some technical issues the way premade where forming was causing your fellow Alliance to get in bad match’s of 10-15 vs. 40 as well if a person that got into one if they didn’t pass lead over they got mass reported causing them to be silenced.
As far as the backdoor into the Alliance base. Alliance have two to get into the Horde base, but that backdoor was put there on purpose just like the ones into the Horde base. Remember AV use to last hours and those bases with NPCs created a bottleneck that was very hard to break. So to keep both sides from causing a stalemate those Easter Eggs where designed into the game.
Problem is Alliance if they get to the Horde base usually just walk in the front gate and can avoid every NPC on their way to Drek. I have been in a few match’s that if the Horde do lockdown the lower or upper entrances Alliance jump the fence or come in behind our Graveyard. Eventually in a later version of the map we know the starting cave for the Horde will move back, which then we will know what happens game play wise.
The map and racials were identical. Those are the 2 excuses Alliance keep using.
No one touched locks or druids either, rogues dominated vanilla, what does that have to do with classic?..The truth is horde pug is a mix of casual and hardcore players. Alliance pug is only bots and casual players. Anyone who is serious about pvp is in a premade.
And Drek hits way harder than Vann, has 2 elite dogs that accompany him, and he and the WMs aggro on any Alliance that pokes his head in the room, while Vann and the Marshalls all sit on the far wall from the entrance so Horde can easily pick off any Alliance in there.
The way the map was played is probably not the same though. If Horde don’t engage mid, send substantial numbers to backcap IBGY, and hard cap SHGY then they aren’t gaining nearly as much benefit from the map.
I have noticed a LOT of Alliance in AV wearing subpar gear. Like they are fresh 60s and never ran a dungeon. If my Ambush > Backstab kills you, there’s a problem. If my Ambush > Backstab almost kills a Warrior, there’s a very big problem.
Except that the fact that the BG isn’t won by objectives.
Its pretty strait forward. All allys best pvper were premading AV prior to the patch blizz put out. This would result in qlliance winning id say 75% of the games i played. Once blizz pushed the change in horde are now only playing against casuals as every ranker is playing WSG. We do have a terrain advantage but its not so insane that even a moderatley coordinated premade can wipe the floor with us pug horde
So wait, Galv cleave is > Bal arcane aoe?
The thing that makes Bal easier to do than Galv, from what I’ve seen, isn’t the damage - it’s that while you can kill Balinda with a small group of people (albeit slowly), against Galv you need a much larger minimum number, because otherwise he can fear your entire group out of the room, which causes him to reset.
With sufficient numbers of attackers I’d say both are roughly equal.
That’s because you guys camp all the end game dungeon entrances while you wait on your hour long queues.
Whoever sits in the queue longer tends to win. They just want it more.
This is an easy one.

Map favors horde and horde exploit backdoor

Alliance dont play nice together in AV
If I got a dollar for every single post I ready about how much of an advantage Horde has. With the post/comment made by an Alliance player. I’d have enough rent money for March.
What are you renting?
Manhattan Island?
And yet you didn’t refute my post…
why not you should be mad at your own team for afking and botting thats not hordes fualt that you have cheaters. so rather then focusing on the real problem that 1/3 to 1/2 your team might as well not be in there you say but horde back door. lol the match is over long before it gets to that point.
