Why does horde hate Void Elfs?

Differences are more than just how one looks.

But, you keep quoting people directly responding to me :zipper_mouth_face:

High Elves already have different politics. So what are you on about?

The land, the political institutions and the vast majority of the population are on one side. There is the Kingdom of Quel’Thalas and there are expats some of whom are members of the Alliance. They are not basically neutral.

I liked the idea of EE with an arcane look to it rather than void. Also lightning eyes would be amazing!

Why do I feel like I got to explain something from an old saying someone doesn’t seem to unnderstand?

tbf hitting 1000 posts in a thread like this is like beating a child in a drinking contest.

Yeah! I like the void stuff on void elves more but that seems cool as well for those who would want more of a bright theme. Granted, it might clash with blood elves cause they’re back to being arcane focused instead of fel focused. (and holy light. Ugh.)

If there is a political faction and army that is within the alliance, then it’s neutral. Keep in mind most goblins are not part of the horde. Only a very small cartel is part of the horde. Yet that is enough to be considered its own thing for the horde. Same for high elves in the alliance.

Yeah especially when both parties are trying to drink from empty glasses.

Alliance high elves were shown in game with the nelf model before blood elves were given to horde as a playable race, which was a horde exclusive playable race a long time ago.

There are roughly 1000 ethnic Ukrainians enlisted in the Russian armed forces. Is Ukraine a neutral country in the Russo-Ukrainian war?

high elves as a race are far from neutral as you can get, they picked a side

their eye color changed in lieu of a sunwell. its back, so its only natural they finally get to reflect that. alliance high elves, who had blue eyes to, lets be real, to probably prevent confusion, are as much a separate group from blood elves as golden eyed blood elves are a separate group from green eyed blood elves

and your point being? that does not erase existence of alliance high elves no matter how hard you guys try

I could go for this.
Blood elves dont loose any more than they already have.
Void elves can stay void themed.
High elf fans get their race
And the game gets something new out of all this

I’m pretty fond of the way I look right now
Can’t say I would be happy about my model being altered

Here, take a look at these concepts and tell me that you still rather look the same as the Blood Elves

Still technically the same race, but a bit of a difference there to tell one apart.

That is different. That is not a whole species. Humans have always splintered off. As a whole, humanity is neutral with itself, as we are all over. Thallasians are a species. Humans are a species. Ukranians are not a species, but a political faction of a species. If those ukranians are working with the russians then they are part of russia, at least for now.

I don’t like it. They look too much like humans, and their elf side seems more night elf than Thalassian. I hate the night elf model. I would never use that.

The point is, having a tiny handful of a race doesn’t give Alliance a claim to it. Especially when you tried to kill off the remainders of that race when Kael joined you for a brief period of time, and the kingdom collectively joined the Horde.

It puts priority on the race that is playable and has been using the model since BC. That’s why I supported an ar with its own model for high elves.
