Would have to be 100% before I would turn on wm lol.
Wpvp should have no reward thats why i joined a pvp server back in the day now i see no alliance from my server
Except it doesnāt take into account sharding, which is a joke.
Early on in the xpac you could get put into an alliance dominated shard. So the buff is sily.
Then as I pointed it out when it releasedā¦but xp buff is only really useful while leveling. So it encourages you to turn on warmode while a lower than max level only to get ganked by high level players.
Meanwhile the high level players have little to no incentive to leave warmode on, since the rewards are meh at best and certainly not worth the effort. At least BFA gave a pittance of conquest.
I rather die in real life than befriend one of you alliance nerds. /spit
Because blizzard doesnāt understand the nature of the faction imbalance or how to properly address it.
Blizzard buffed up the guards around neutral and horde flight masters. They also made it that like a zillion horde guards will spawn if you go 1 cm into a horde base. Meanwhile horde can /afk in the middle of an alliance base and never get guards on them. Even when the player and the guards are at the same level. I know this from personal experience.
If people have to be bribed to participate in Warmode, they donāt like Warmode in the first place.
Donāt design a game in which people feel forced into something thatās supposed to be a choice because the incentives make it too lucrative to not participate.
Iād literally rather see a queue to enter Warmode for the overpopulated side than see buffs and perks and bonus rewards tossed around to the underdog. I do not want to PvP and I do not want to feel like Iām a 2nd class citizen for that.
And be enemies with Alliance. And Horde.
/Looks at the alliance while sharping his knives.
Except for Trolls. They are friends with everybody.
I only read 11 posts in but it didnāt seem like anyone actually answered your question so.
The buff percentage is based on participation in WM. If there are more Horde than Alliance in WM then the Alliance will get a larger (based on how outnumbered they were for the week) buff. If all Horde players stayed out of WM for a week then Horde would have a large buff and Alliance would have a small buff.
Come over to Oceanic and say that. The peoples at Frostmourne would like to say hi
Iām sure that could all be fixed if worgen had tails.
Part of the reason war mode sucks compared to how PvP realms were is the fact that basically only people who are highly motivated to PvP will activate it. Reluctant PvPers were an important part of the PvP realm ecosystem. If you want to play a game mode where itās just a given that every member of the opposite faction you run into is going to try to kill you, you could just queue up for a battleground.
I only turn Warmode on to level. Even 10% on Horde is still better than 0% when you are leveling through the same zones 24 times. I level one of each class on Horde and Alliance. 20 down, 4 left to go.
The problem is Ruin Gaming.
Turn WM into FFA mode. Everyone is red if theyāre flagged regardless of faction. Let all the people who really want to PvP have at it. (and you wonāt need a bonus anymore!)
I recall when they first implemented the bonus differential. I was playing a human DK and Iād see all of general chat (regardless of world zone) blowing up with locations of Horde players to gank for the free cache reward under the weekly āagainst all oddsā or whatever.
Alliance were lazy and just needed incentive to participate.
Iāll be an echo chamber to those who have said they should just bring back PvP and pve servers, then do away with the stupid reward.
I never needed any incentive to participate in PvP. I still think it was a dumb idea.
Hah, that reminds me of the difference between the guards at Honor Hold compared to the ones at Thrallmar back in the Burning Crusade expansion. You basically couldnāt even get too close to Thrallmar as Alliance, but regularly had Horde groups right inside Honor Hold doing their thing, because the guards were not really a problem.
It was answered in like the very first post after the OP. Even then my first post (post 11) answered it clear as day.
I think my answer is more clear.
Well of course you would. After all you wrote it
