Why do we even have a GD?

Every house needs a toilet.

It just feels as though a post made here under any context is written off as “trash” and people are o.k. with that?

It’s like that place in Thor Ragnarok: Sakaar

On Friday nights we braid each other’s hair and have tickle fights!

Yes, there are many on here with a strange infallible sense of positivity

The blues used to post all the time until someone told the Ox to shut up and then eventually fired him and replaced him with the useless blues we have now.

The MVPs get crapped on because they have green text and green text somehow = shills, so I don’t blame them for rarely speaking.

Why would the blues post here?

The community largely treats them like dog crap

To quote my man Don Henley:

We are all just prisoners here of our own device

Ok with what…
Forums were never made to be a collection of feed back. And most feed back here is trash but that depends what CMs think.

Someone else thinking its trash has no bearing on said original feed back.

Why not? If not, why even have a forum. We can all go to reddit.

It’s grumbles or something right? I always forget the name

Yes. We trash and bash everything in sight, but some are steadfast in being forces of good

Need more of them.

Realistically, it’s just a place for players to talk about the game. It’s never really been about getting blues to answer questions or respond to feedback. Like, it happens, and there have been varying amounts of GM/CM interaction over time, but that was never the primary purpose. It’s a forum. It’s for what forums are for.

I will say that it’s been rather barren for some time now. Like I said, I don’t think the forums exist specifically for those dialogues, but I have noticed a decline in them.

But even before this current dry streak, it was iffy. There was a long while where they’d hire a new CM, they’d introduce themselves on GD, they’d give everyone a good first impression and interact with us openly for… maybe 2-3 weeks. Then they’d never be seen again. Like Blizzard was using the forums to haze new hires or something.

Before that it was a bit better, but I can’t put a timeframe on it.

All of the above? It’s literally a dumping ground for WoW-related topics. Just let people talk, yeah? Maybe it’s constructive, maybe it’s not, maybe it’s nothing to do with feedback at all. That’s okay. Have you never used a forum before WoW?

It’s just a place to hang out and discuss the game. Everyone has their own way of using it.

You know that toxic pool in Maldraxxus where players throw slime in and see what pops up? That’s pretty much an in game metaphor of what GD is.
