Why do ppl keep lying about paying to play BC from Vanilla?

Honestly the amount of times Ive seen this lie spread that you have to pay to play on BC servers just makes me think the WoW community is irreparably cynical and will absolutely look for any and every reason to make things seem as horrible and abusive as possible when they aren’t.

$35 to keep a character on vanilla servers? Way steep imo, BUT that is hardly restricting people from accessing BC content, all of that migrates for free if you choose to continue the path, or, if I understand correctly, you can keep it on vanilla servers and start fresh on BC. Why anyone would WANT to stay on vanilla when most people will migrate is really beyond me but yanno… reeee or something.

You only have to pay $35 if you want to have that character playable on TBC AND vanilla servers

you can’t have your cake and eat it too for free

This isn’t technically right either, it only costs money if you want BOTH, otherwise entirely free, outside your sub

Ah yeah thats what I meant, iirc you can keep it on Vanilla for free and just start over for BC. I clarify that later on in the paragraph too…?

They all listen to streamers instead of looking the information up themselves. It’s pretty common these days. Not just among WoW players.

Because they’re stupid and can’t read.

At this point I think we should have “No Changes” and make people pay to access the expansion  Just for the hell of it.

Why do people keep saying paying a sub is playing the game for free?

Because they are using common sense, and assuming people can realize they mean no additional fee lol.

LOL, ok. You’re just demonstrating the typical forum hypocrisy.

Plenty of people keep trying to justify these prices by saying Blizz is giving us TBC for free. That is also a lie.

TBC is literally free though, unless you were planning to cancel your sub, there is no ADDITIONAL cost associated with playing TBC besides the sub you already paid. I feel like you are really confused.

Did you want them to cancel the subscription fee for TBC? is that what you’re upset about

I don’t think people are lying, in general.

It’s a new system that’s not intuitive. Pretty easy to get confused about it.

Because everyone has to pay a sub. We mean an expansion pack cost. We can play tbc without paying for it. We’re all already paying a sub. It’s implied to mean outside of the normal 15 a month. Back in the day you couldn’t just play tbc. You had to pay like 40$ on top of your sub. Blizzard is giving us tbc without any extra cost.

It’s literally part of the sub fee.

Thus the sub is required.

That’s the entire point of a sub fee.

I think hes trying to make the point that subbing costs money and subbing is required to play TBC, thus money is being spent on TBC.

The fact that its optional and included is pointless.
There are more people subbed to Classic with optional shadowlands, than people subbed to Shadowlands with optional Classic.

Really they should have had 1 clone with your choice of game…

Example, what I mean is if you have selected TBC then you get a single Vanilla clone if you so desire to play. Additional clones could be purchased.

That’s what I would of done, but im not the boss so there is that.

It doesn’t make sense to complain, “MAN I GOTTA CONTINUE PAYING, WHAT I WAS ALREADY PAYING?”

what a scam right?..jfc what a crap argument lol

People are less concerned about disseminating correct information than being pedantic and justifying their overreaction.

This right here.

There is no box price for TBC, the copies and CE are optional.

You guys are literally mad about having to continue your sub fee, (because technically it isn’t “free”) that you have already been paying for years.

No, no its not.

Holy Flying Sandwiches.

It is not complicated at all to anyone who takes a moment to read the official statements and blue posts.

This is NOT rocket spaghetti!!
