Why do players insist on making changes?

If you don’t want to play the game as is why are you even here?

Blizzard are making changes on their own. It’s not even us influencing them

Come on. Yes it is. Every big change they’ve made was to appease the loud community. Don’t lie

Are you serious? Beside that the game has already changed from the original version, it does change with every hotfix/bugfix/patch they implement.

Nothing wrong with doing the game better. Who are you to accept things as they are instead of trying to improve them? Don’t you wash your hair/body/teeth etc. to stay healthy? So you are consistently changing the state of yourself from dirty to clean to dirty to clean, etc. Why are you doing it instead to take the consequences you will get from it?

Because it’s common sense. It’s just natural to improve things!

When I go to a museum I expect it to be clean but I don’t expect the history to change as such with this game.

It’s the same small handful of the vocal forum minority, with their army of alts… It gives a false impression of larger numbers.

Take for instance any of the newer ones in the last 3 days. All are alts pulled out of a box to make the same complaint, or demand, and the threats of loss of revenue/subscriptions if they don’t comply.

It’s tiring, and I really wish the forum mods would issue account forum bans to stop the idiocy.

But. I also like to believe that the trolls and their alt armies are equally as transparent to real decision makers, and their tantrums don’t make it any further than this limited venue.

So, meh. I just flag and ignore as many as possible.

They want the community that’s missing from retail and can’t make the connection between QoL “click button receive bacon” fixes and the lack of community.

You are trying to improve all about your life, so do we. We want them to make the game better if possible. No reason to not to, only because it hasn’t been in the past.

They’ve added changes that weren’t needed nor made the game better to ruin the “authentic” aspect of the game now we want a change to make the game better for the playerbase and you are upset about it

This forum has a lot of activity but I see you’re not fooled. There’s only about 13 of us in here. Arguing to the same people every day.

You understand what museum piece means right?

Blizzard can do what they want but I’m not going to ask them to modify a game that’s supposed to be a recreation of TBC nor do I want them to change anything.

If anything I would like them to make retail more like TBC.

But they already did in many aspects. So why are we not supposed to ask them to change more if they already left the path from staying to the original “history”.

Because we will only continue to steer away from the authenticity of TBC and get a product more like Retail.

Making the honor set obtainable will make it retail lmfao

Refugees fleeing systemlands coming to TBC, not understanding what it makes it so desirable and inevitably trying to turn it into retail 2.0 because that’s all they know.

Not every feature that is within retail is bad. There are many things to cry about retail, but dual spec from like wrath and some other things also helped the game and made it better.

People tend to “Please not, that’s too retail.” as everything is evil if it exists on retail. I mean, if they would remove something like dual spec from retail you guys would argue “They even removed it from retail, so don’t ask for it.”.

i only see Horde crying and complaining for the most part.

Subjective, if you want dual spec why not wait for Classic WOTLK?

This is such a reductive statement.

The reason I am here is because as much as I enjoy(ed) TBC, I have the gift of foresight now, we all do. We know where we are going, we know how we get there and we have opinions and prefernces on how best to achieve that.

Wow is never about things staying as they are… the beauty of wow is that it does change. it exits on a continuum of patches and upgrades and tuning.

Blizzard have literally never had a progressive content server based on patch 2.4.3… that in itself is a very very big change. Wow is also heavily influenced based on the world in which it exists, people are much much better at learning from others, sharing information and getting better quicker. We are all more connected and more reachable than any point in history.

Oh the Alliance are crying and complaining for sure. Just not about the same thing.
