Why do people ignore FF14's issues?

“I want less people to play with.”

Weird cope but okay. How about instead you hope the fact that Blizzard has legitimate competition for once actually pushes them to stop half-assing everything they do.

The people quitting aren’t people that others play with. The people quitting barely scratch the surface of every WoW content update, and then complain that they’re bored and have nothing left to do… after having done nothing.

They won’t be missed. They’re people who never should have picked up WoW in the first place.

Aight, cut the chaff of the casual players, the midcores can go next. When all the money they pull in is gone, and it’s down only to whales, when 8 months of nothing becomes the regular, you enjoy yourself.

im look at the ff14 forums AND ITS DEAD. for many days now

Relevant to run yes. Relevant to endgame besides badges not really besides maybe cosmetic stuff. If they didn’t do that you’d be in queue for hours for trials which I experienced the first time I played before heavensward.

This could also be said about the people who approve of everything that gets put into WoW tbh, I’ve seen some people who barely do anything in the game say it’s a blast, so that being said what would be considered valid criticism from people who quit?

wow this is good?

  1. The story
  2. Gold saucer
  3. being able to be every job on 1 character
  4. being able to fly in each zone by completing the MSQ as it goes through that zone, a few side quests and collecting a few aether currents
  5. the gear looks amazing
  6. none of the old content is just thrown in the bin, the main story is constantly going back to old zones and the duty roulettes allows for easy leveling of alt jobs and some gear progression
  7. tombstones, aka justice and valor points allow you target the gear you want without having to pray to the rng gods constantly
  8. the crafting system is far more indepth and far more relevant at max level
  9. actual player housing
  10. the devs are constantly adding new hairdos, emotes, housing items, etc. etc. to the game which for the vast majority of things are available in game not through the shop.
  11. Every job has it’s own storyline

I mean, not everything needs to be tied directly to the endgame the way wow does it.

The midcores aren’t going anywhere.

The people quitting WoW for FF barely ever played WoW in the first place. We see it all the time, here.

“I’m bored.”
You could do dungeons.
“I don’t want to do dungeons.”
You could PvP.
“I don’t want to PvP.”
You could raid.
“I don’t want to raid.”
You could quest.
“I don’t want to quest.”
You could explore the world, with its treasures, rares, and puzzles.
“I don’t want to explore the world.”
Then WHY are you here?

If people have zero interest in the things that WoW has always been about, they shouldn’t be playing WoW.

To GD? lmao since when

I still miss the old style of jobs to a point. Levelling a new character for stormblood threw me off when i didn’t need to change classes to get my job crystal.

Crafting I’ll give them even collecting mats can be more fun.

Not everything is. Sure pet battling isn’t for everyone but we have pets added to old content over time to push people to go back. Plus I like my random teleport there things for playing pokemon lite.

I mean, that’s a bold assumption. I don’t doubt it’s true of some, but my assumption is that there is very little overlap with wow and ffxiv in terms of audience and most of the people who bring up FFXIV here are just trolls trying to get an easy rise out of people.

doing all classes on one toon is cuz they all dont start at lv 1 and many of them end at 30. gear looks amazing when you buy from the shop. flying means nothing. crafting is a time sink to nothing. classes are all built to be played on a controller. i am looking at the game shop you can buy everything.

Nah they do have decent gear in game. Theres also stuff that used to be rewarded that as a FF series fan was amazing just for being subbed for awhile. Don’t know if you can get those still though.

yet they go all out for the shop

You still get Vet rewards. I wish they’d add more though cause it’s pretty easy to get all of them.

Of course there’s very little overlap, they’re totally different games appealing to totally different mentalities. Which is why I keep repeating: People who prefer FF should quit and play FF. Please.

It’d be nice. It was my downtime game til my friends quit but I enjoy doing the alliance raid as squall. Someday I’ll finish shadowbringers to get gunbreaker though.

Trolls gonna troll. It’s too much of a meme to post about FF14 on WoW forums now for it to go away because the rest of us use logic and see that FF14 is clearly worse.

Yes! Was also the last time demo was fun for me

Coincidence? I think not, I’d take wotlk thru mop class design over what we have now :face_vomiting:
