It seems like Blizzard wants to do away with Open World, and limit meaningful player interaction with the World environment to Instance encounters, scenarios, and the like.
The whole seemless, Open World Environment, that is a signiture part of World of Warcraft, seems to have become an unwanted part of what Blizzard thinks World of Warcraft should be.
The seemless Open World Environment, and the stories told there, was what made World of Warcraft Great. Flying and a Seemless Open World Environment is a problem for any company who want to turn World of Warcraft into a Phone App.
If you really want World of Warcraft to become a Phone App, fine, do it.
I would want World of Warcraft to be a Single Player Champaign, of all the expansions, in a Seemless Open World, where I can invite my friends to join me, accepting and declining, like you can with Group Finder, even friends who join me through Phone apps, for these special open World encounters, (World Quests, Bosses, Side Quests, et cetera) or Instance Runs.
All they will ever see of the Seemless Open World of World of Warcraft, is their character Heroically mounting and dismounting, and maybe a short sequence of cutscenes or if they have that feature turned off, then a load screen.
If I could do the Expansions as a max level character, but also with Chromie’s help, like a Timewalking Dungeon or raid, where my character level and iLvl have been nerfed to a level of my choosing, between level 10 to max level, with a corresponding iLvl, in increments of 5 or10 levels?
