Why do people defend pathfinder?

Less boring than trying to get to a WQ and having to deal with 20 random mobs that are not hard to kill, but takes time to do so.

Honestly most of the game is around time-sinks, I have fun in a challening M+, not in zipping around WQs to get some artifact power due to a forced neck grind system.

If it was about not being boring then I should be able to port to any M+ dungeon from anywhere in the game so I can more quickly get to the fun content.

As was said before, not flying is ok for your FIRST run, but really after 10 to 20 toons at max level, being forced to run around for nearly a year was a very very bad idea.

Alright, then why troll the retail forum if you’re never going to touch it again. I have no intentions on ever playing ESO again so I won’t be on their forum anymore.

There are two types of streamers and content creators now - real ones and fake outrage ones. You can tell which are the fake outrage ones by looking at their recent videos, usually they’ll include tons of outrage topics not only about this game but others as well. It’s all about making money and they know that those topics are easy clickbait.

I’ve got a nice comfy career, I won’t need to look into this. Thanks though.

What im saying is they need to fix flying to make it more engaging

If by engaging you mean any slower or loaded with mobs I have to kill… no thanks.

If you mean, just add portals to all of the content I like, I’m up for that!

Maybe you just point in a direction and afk but I like to enjoy looking at the world from angles I’d never see from the ground or a predetermined flight path.

they should just allow you to open the map and click and instantly be transported to the area you clicked huh

That is, by definition, the “least boring” option, no?

For a lot of people. Everyone who continues to play, give Blizzard their time or money for WoW, gives them internet traffic on the website, buys anything related to WoW.

That’s who it’s for, a lot of people.

Stating facts and giving opinions isn’t trolling.

Another fact: I’m not long for Classic either. Unless they fix the scuffed up mess they released by the time my sub runs out I’m back to private servers.

In the meantime I can continue to post on these forums and if you don’t like it feel free to skip whatever I have to say.

Gives them internet traffic… Are you serious?

I’m happy players post on the forum, it keeps the forum more lively which will entice more players to come play.

no that is the most boring option, sure itd be cool at first but after killing all the daily things in 10 minutes because youd get bored and log off, i am with you however in terms of teleporting to dungeons and raids, those should be summonable by 1 person and the summoning stones should be inside of the instances, not outside

Uh, no I’d go tank or heal a PuG M15… (we seem to not be playing the game the same way). All of the boring time-sink stuff does 1 thing well: lessen the amount of time I am doing M+, which I think is bad for other players in a MMO.

Well yeah we are, i hate m+ and only do them to the point where i dont need to do them anymore, also m+ is time sync just one that a lot of people enjoy. Easy way around your problem though, dont do the other stuff

I won’t get into how you are arguing that walking between WQs is “engaging content” but a M15 King’s Rest is “boring” hahah.

But one nitpick: “don’t do other stuff” is unfortunately not possible. To do well in M15 you must have your neck to 68, rank 3 essences - and those all require a LOT of non-M+ content. (Example, I had to grind out 70 crates in Mechagon and get to exalted to get my essences - all 100% solo content that took me out of the social part of the game). M+ players are subject to an intense non-M+ list of things to do.

This is why travel and lack-of-flying are insidious, they are in the game 100% to slow you down from doing fun stuff. This is why I feel pretty strongly about why they are bad things.

i didnt say they were engaging, i just said flying between them isnt fun, also didnt say m15 is boring i said i hate m+ and that m+ is a huge time sync and i even stated people find m+ enjoyable

It’s time sink. Sync is sort for synchronize.

youre right, i dunno why i wrote it as sync

It seems like Blizzard wants to do away with Open World, and limit meaningful player interaction with the World environment to Instance encounters, scenarios, and the like.

The whole seemless, Open World Environment, that is a signiture part of World of Warcraft, seems to have become an unwanted part of what Blizzard thinks World of Warcraft should be.

The seemless Open World Environment, and the stories told there, was what made World of Warcraft Great. Flying and a Seemless Open World Environment is a problem for any company who want to turn World of Warcraft into a Phone App.

If you really want World of Warcraft to become a Phone App, fine, do it.

I would want World of Warcraft to be a Single Player Champaign, of all the expansions, in a Seemless Open World, where I can invite my friends to join me, accepting and declining, like you can with Group Finder, even friends who join me through Phone apps, for these special open World encounters, (World Quests, Bosses, Side Quests, et cetera) or Instance Runs.

All they will ever see of the Seemless Open World of World of Warcraft, is their character Heroically mounting and dismounting, and maybe a short sequence of cutscenes or if they have that feature turned off, then a load screen.

If I could do the Expansions as a max level character, but also with Chromie’s help, like a Timewalking Dungeon or raid, where my character level and iLvl have been nerfed to a level of my choosing, between level 10 to max level, with a corresponding iLvl, in increments of 5 or10 levels?

I don’t mind it, esp since it is account bound
