New players, those who have never played before, can not miss something, they never knew existed, or experienced.
horde complained that there was a lack of alliance to gank due to the overwhelming game mechanics that favored horde so they removed insta flying
The Crusader Bridenbrad was one of the most evocative stories in the game. What a beautiful, bittersweet tale. And a perfect example of how flight was woven into it.
No.
Watcher is a lawyer and a spreadsheet guy. He can’t code at all.
How to you think we keep ending up with metrics driven retention mechanisms and stupid trickle grinds?
This is how it seems to me especially considering the instance push for story and professions.
In addition to being deliberately obtuse, you obviously have a reading comprehension problem.
You’re the stuff white hats are made of. Good job.
A reading comprehension problem because I called out someone for making a statement they can’t back up with any sort of proof at all? Are you sure that I’m the one with a reading comprehension issue? lol
How do you know he “can’t code at all”? I have more faith in you then to think you’d just start making stuff up but I’d sure like to read about this.
He had stated it in an interview back in the elitist jerks days that he was never a developer. Let me see if I can find it.
Even if you can’t find it you do know that he started working for Blizzard in 2008, right? Just for fun and easy math lets pretend it’s 2020 now, which is only a few days away. He’s been at Blizzard roughly 12 years.
He graduated law school in 2004.
So… basic math would tell me he’s been working for Blizzard for longer than this lawyer business that players keep throwing up.
So now that we got the basic math stuff out of the way we can move on to the developer stuff. Are you trying to tell me that in his 12 years of working at Blizzard he couldn’t have possibly learned to code?
One can accomplish many things in 12 years.
Palra, you’re wasting time on this one. You could present the man himself confirming that he is not a programmer, but it wouldn’t matter.
This player just doesn’t “get” stuff, either due to some actual inability or deliberate ignorance.
You’d be much better off trying to train a cat.
Meh, I don’t mind Yesuna at all. I don’t agree with him very much at all either, but at least he has a coherent point to make most of the time.
I love cats
Ion has a proven and demonstrated ability to not learn from his mistakes. This is an insurmountable obstacle for ever being a developer.
So, in other words, you have no idea if he can or can’t code, even after making that derogatory statement.
wow.
Your honor, I have no idea if the defendant, Watcher (AKA Ion The EGO) is capable or willing to learn to code. Even if I had an idea of whether or not he was technically capable of learning to code, I would not be at liberty nor would I be inclined to discuss it with you.
I shall promptly retract my earlier statement and open a vein if it does please the court.
Not gonna lie, I laughed.
Whatever iteration of WoW mechanics we will have to face in the Shadowlands expansion, it will be released with deliberaton and thought.
Note, I did not say careful or considerate Deliberation or thought, especially for the wishes of the subscribers. Blizzard have still not really started on the expansion yet, there is still hope for those, who are prepared to fight for it.
I do not know the minds, or abilities of anyone who works at Blizzard, only that they are capable and Talented, beyond any measure I possess to date. Anything beyond that would not honestly speculation.
One informed observation I can make, with surety, is this forum is our opportunity to express to the people at Blizzard what we want. Without them, World of Warcraft will be nothing more than a memory of what will no longer be.
Especially if we do not focus our thoughts in a unified expression of written words, which will clearly inform the people at Blizzard, what we want and why.
I agree with that. Sadly enough, the spam and nonconstructive feedback often drowns out discussion.
Yet there is still hope, for those who will fight for it. On this battlefield, we have only written words to wield. Let’s all wield them well.
In Australia, it is near to miday on the 24th of December, A Christmas Carol is playing, with other Christmas stories to follow, to fill the remainder, of this eve.
Merry Christmas to all,
I wouldn’t be surprised if they pull that stunt. Create the problem and then “offer” the solution back in shadowlands.
