Chronicles clearly states that Dark Trolls settled around the Well of Eternity. It didn’t say all Trolls traveled and settled there before being changed.
There were other Troll tribes living around Azeroth who didn’t come close to the Well and thus were not changed. It’s as simple as that.
It’s kind of like saying everyone on Earth traveled to North America and became Americans. When in actuality, people stayed behind to remain as Europeans, Asians, and Africans.
They only knew about the Trolls after Crossing the Mountain and only barely surviving that. Their only choice was to continue forward at the chance to escape Amani Lands or face certain death trying to cross back over that mountain.
It was an unfortunate series of events that kept getting worse that left them with no other choice but to continue or give up and perish.
Murdering every Troll on their way. Meaning not only warriors defending their land.
Not even the elves believed this. Can you let go of this silly point? The elves knew about the Amani and murdered a bunch of them on their long travel.
Fixed it again for you.
Not if you’re invading. That’s what every human empire did.
Didn’t you say they overthrew Azsarha and could explain this to the Amani? Of course not how silly of me.
Not against the Trolls.
That’s a lie and you know it. The Amani and their nation were not magically new.
Edit: I remind everyone. Vrykul could life next to the Amani in Tirisfal.
They survived the mountains because they eventually discovered Humans dwelling there, who helped take care of them and gave them safe passage. They could have gone back, only this time, aware of the humans and with better understanding of the terrain.
Or they could have just got enough mana to top themselves, then left, instead of hunkering down permanently, like they did back in Tirisfal.
They did not have to permanently settle in what’s not Quel’Thalas and expand pretty much exclusively into Amani territory.
After the treaty was signed…the empire continued to expand undisturbed in all directions. In the end, gurubashi, Amani, and Drakkari lost large territories.
Clearly you have never done Grizzly Hills or Hyjal. You are forced to kill both Furbolgs and Harpies on the Behalf of both Ursol and Aviana in those quest chains.
Furthermore, you simply say because ones are descendent of them means they have their favor. When it is only Night Elves and Druids (Who were trained by night elves) who commune with these beings and gather boons in the pursuit of maintaining the balance.
So again, if you are butt hurt about it, that is your issue.
In this case, there was.
No I am not, that is literally what we are told from Chronicle.
I’ve done both those zones. Where do Ursoc and Aviana, or any Ancients, ask you to kill Furblogs and Harpies? Which quests? I can’t find them. I even linked all the quests they give in WoWhead so you could point them out to me.
You are not looking hard enough. The start long quest chains that lead you to killing Furbolgs and Harpies. Hell, you need Harpy feathers just to summon Avivana.
No I don’t. They murdered every Troll. It was Amani territory. There is no justification and it’s murder.
Not understanding something his holy is not the same thing as not knowing about the Amani and their empire at all. They new about them since at least Azshara.
This is in fact an invasion. Especially if you’re taking over.
Elves are very good with magic. 'm sure they could have if they wanted.
This became only a thing for the Amani after their nation was invaded.
They were Lucky that time. And who’s to say that the Humans there had the resources to support a couple thousand Refugees AGAIN? You know, kindness and benevolence can only be stretched so far before it becomes an imposition.
And it would mean returning to human lands, which they left for good reason. It was driving his people crazy and tensions were starting to rise between them.
The Trolls weren’t giving them that option either.
Again, once the reached what would become Quel’Thalas, they were spent and now stuck there with no way to continue or go back the way they came.
This was not part of the treaty with Azshara. The only part the trolls were offered to keep was the Zandalar Mountains. In fact, after the Zandalari agreed, Azshara was allowed to expand her empire even more, as per Chronicle: Volume I, Page 98:
On every occasion, the trolls buckled before the devastating magic wielded by the night elves. Azshara, however, was not interested in conquest. In her eyes, the trolls were a minor nuisance, their battle lust a symptom of primitive and unenlightened minds. Ultimately, the queen struck an accord with the Zandalari tribe, which held immense influence over all other trolls. In exchange for ending troll incursions into night elf territory, the Zandalari would be allowed–by Azshara’s grace–to keep the sacred Zandalar mountains south of the Well of Eternity.
The trolls begrudingly agreed, fuly aware that they stood no chance against their enemies’ arcane powers. This shameful acquiesence fostered the trolls’ deep resentment towards the night elves, a bitter hatred that would carry on for generations to come.
With the trolls no longer a threat, Azshara continued expanding her dominion.
There is no hypocrisy here. The Humans did not attack the Highborne. The Amani did. These are not the same conditions. The only one choosing to ignore this is you.
You’re the only person saying this would be an okay thing for the Highborne to do.
Whatever projections you are trying to make are not making a good point for yourself.
Ultimately because the leylines weren’t worth it because of the unnerving presence there. Which I suggested could also have possibly resulted because of the loa.
You’re the one trying to misrepresent things here. The correction was that the Amani attacked first, not the Highborne. That is the fact. Projecting this as justification for taking the Amani’s land is just something you keep bringing up as if anyone else is saying that it was okay.
The Alliance didn’t even try occupying Dazar’alor, unlike the Horde trying to occupy Darkshore. In fact, I don’t think think there have been any new settlements in WoW that match your description of killing Trolls to build on their land.
The elves started an invasion.
What should the Amani have done? Bowed down and said: “Yes masta take all my land. Slay our women. Sure Masta we could live next to Vrykul but those were savages too. Rule over us unworthy filth in our own lands. Take the land of our loa. Our loa!”
Again, Once bitten, twice shy.
From their experience, they’ve been attacked first by every Troll they’ve encountered so, eventually you start to preemptively attack to protect yourself from attack.
