I enjoy transmog and a lot of mogs look better on female toons.

Also, frankly the female toons are attractive (well as attractive as a video game can be) and I would rather stare at that for hours a week than a dude.

That being said, I have a mix of genders on my toons.

What I always found funny about that joke is that Blood Elf men probably are the most realistic looking men of the bunch, ears aside.

Perhaps some find playing their character to be too infuriating and play a female alt to cool their flames, while there are some who play they for perverted reason, as well as there being other who find writing a female protagonist to be much easier than male.
