Why do healers think only their role is stressful?

Rdruid actually feels quite a bit better now than at the start of the season, I can actually take games to 50% dampening now without just going oom in <2min, but they’re def the squishiest healers, and you’re kinda forced into going for risky early clones or else you fall behind. Super punishing

I’m hoping it feels a little better with the upcoming 11.1 tuning, but idk.

There’s also the recent issue where tranquility seems to be bugged, and you take dot/bleed damage through the immunity, so you can also now just die through tranq which according to the tooltip should be an immunity from damage

I go for clones I get blamed for not healing. I heal I get blamed for not cloning. I can’t win.

I mean its not degen, you literally need to be able to maximize your PVE rotation to play the game rn. If you can’t do that you’re simply not going to win.

You can be the best liver in the world, but if you don’t do damage and can’t land kills, you will never win. Survivability is learned AFTER you can do the basics.

People need to get off this “degen” response to how you play the game. It’s a stepping ladder of how to improve, the first step is being able to play your class. I’m NEVER going to coach someone and tell them to learn how to clone or learn every other specs abilities & kill windows first, they’re always going to be taught how to do their basic rotation first and how to fill every global with something useful.

Sometimes people fat finger their defensives. My divine shield is the D key and sometimes I hit it by accident

Can both be stressful? Yes. Equal levels of stress? Absolutely not. Yes DPS have stresses but, the healer has the same ones (including actually DPSing) but have more added on.

big mood

i have my /afk macro bound to scroll wheel up and scroll wheel down so i can troll at record speeds

one move and i am out

What exactly is the difference tho? It’s a team game and everyone has equal responsibility.

If you get cloned it’s my fault I didn’t ground for you; if you get stunned and don’t trinket BoP you are responsible for my death.

and I’ve been in tons of matches with 0-6 healers, or healers in BGs that heal less than DPS. Gz?

Stress can be different. Everyone will also stress in different ways.

I stress when playing into fury wars, because there’s so little in my control in that matchup that I’m almost entirely reliant on my team to enable me. Not everyone is going to be like that however, especially when each specs’ kit has different ways to play.

I will say however, that DPS have far less to stress about. Generally speaking, once you’re comfortable in 99% of scenarios, everything just becomes muscle memory to react with.

TBH I think fury is the only spec in the game to have shadowlands-esque burst. NGL I got 100-0’d in like 3 seconds the other day on my hunter alt and I was just not expecting it.

So basically please nerf fury, I hate it. Keep it slightly better than arms though so my queue times stay short.

Fury is the melee equivalent of demo, when it’s good its good. And it creates this dynamic in the game that means you have to answer it, but the comps it’ll play makes it effectively immortal.

Now with ele & MW being as good as they are right now, fury players have access to literally the best comp in the game bar none. You just let your ele pve the game while mw lines up sphere + double kick with storm bolt & double rampage, and the MW/Fury alone 100-0 someone before that bolt ends.

It’s an awful gameplay loop, it’s irresponsible gameplay because of the mobility and raw tankiness they have, the MS is absolutely ridiculous because you can’t break from them without a frost mage, and the damage is absurd.

I’d any day rather ret/arms meta at its peak brokenness than fury ever being viable.

I’ve seen some crazy hits this season, I hit a 2.6 mil hammer of light, I’ve been hit by a 3.6 mil frost strike from a dk, and I heard a friend say they hit a 4 mil envenom. But then my final verdict hits for 300k, a dk’s obliterate hits 400k, or the rogues envenom hits 500k. I wish there was a bit more of an indicator for when someone’s next global is going to hit that hard, besides just the fact they have cd’s up.

Oh one more is an ele deleting my entire team in one second, though at least you can count on them to always do that every time they proc an ascendance.

noooo waaayy

(furiously takes notes)

I’ve hit similar on my rogue so yeah I believe it.

I feel like most of the specs are more obvious if you know what to look for. Wings and final verdict = hurt, sin rogue is going to crank during death mark/bane if they are playing it, etc. Fury is a little more explosive. I don’t have much issue with it on my main but I totally let myself be deleted the other night and I’m clearly still salty about it.

I still don’t understand ele but the primordial wave nonsense is going bye bye so that’s a plus

I’ve personally seen nothing close to this. However, in general abilities hit harder with stacked buffs. For instance, your lights hammer can benefit from multiple buffs like PvP proc trinket, judgement, BoJ, blessing of dawn and final reckoning. There might be another I’m forgetting, also there’s debuffs that can make a trgt take more dmg as well from your teammates.

Monitoring the buffs/debuffs on you and the target will give you an idea of how hard your ability is going to hit.

Had a healer Druid in a bg the other day that would jump into bear form any time he was attacked. Idk if he thought that’s how you’re supposed to play resto but it made the game pretty stressful.

Was definitely difficult trying to take down the enemy team while getting very little heals or cc from him
