Normally I would agree with the why, but I feel I must push back on this reason because of the tauren. Lore wise tauren are much bigger, but they shrunk them to make them playable. Similar could be done with the ogres. I mean I wouldnt play one… shortcrew4lyfe, but I know many would.
Your math is way off. You have Stormwind, Gilnean and now Kul Tirans. Three races out of a total of nine are human. That’s only 33%. And all three are comepletly different. You also get different types of Dwarves, Drainei, Gnomes, and Elves to go along with Pandaran.
Also, if you don’t like humans and want to play more monster types then why in the world are you playing Alliance? That’s like playing a Star Wars game on the Empire faction and griping about not having Wookies . It’s part of the lore.
You’re under the impression that I literally meant “only human races”.
When I say human, I mean that most of the Alliance races despite them not literally being human in-game. Are quite literally human by our description, they are human people who are varying sizes (dwarf, gnome, Kul Tiran) and with varying accessories (long ears, blue skin), but it all essentially boils down to them all being closer to human than anything, which isn’t something that can be said about a large chunk of Horde races.
That’s my line, because my argument is literal fact that is visible in game to this day, your “facts” are “Ion said Blood Elves are High Elves and are already on the Horde” which is factually incorrect when it comes to the High elf request, as the requested Elves have never been on the Horde and have never been Blood Elves or associated with that group past the point where they were declared “Sin’dorei”.
No one is trying to take Blood Elves from the Horde, we want the High Elves that have already been a part of the Alliance, even longer than Horde has had Blood Elves.
If you have better things to do then by all means, head off. But spreading misinformation by ignoring lore-nuance does nothing but a disservice to the overall knowledge of the game all of us play.
You don’t get to create new definitions for old words just because it doesn’t fit your narrative. That’s not how it works.
And again I say…if you don’t want anything “resembling” humans(really stretching that definition here), WHY ARE YOU PLAYING ALlIANCE? Human, Dwarves and Gnomes have been Alliance since the beginning of the game. It’s part of their identity.
the Alliance don’t want something what belongs to your faction. The High elves belong to the Alliance. They are in your faction only to attract more players . That’s all .
I just find it funny that one would argue that the alliance doesn’t have variety. Then advocate for High Elves to be added…which will look quite similar to Blood Elves already making it add zero diversity to the alliance…Weird.
Honestly both sides got shafted with Vulpera and Mechagnomes, such bad choices IMO. I feel like I’m the only one that actually likes Kul’tirans. I enjoy the other Alliance ARs as well. Nightborne need to be updated to look good and not the ugly thing they were made into. Even the NPCs look better lol.
