No its not. Its nothing like that. Did you read my OP or just that part of it? Im not quitting anytime soon. Even if the expansion sucks ill still be here. SL sucked and I never left. Bad expansions happen. Ill be here till Blizz turns off the game. No expansion has made me want to quit. I have been here since 2005. Not going anywhere guy.

Im really sorry you dislike the game so much. There are other games? 
They seem to be of this (misguided, imho) opinion that if people don’t pre-order then Blizzard will bend over backwards to put everything in the game that every person wants. Reality is, they are going to do whatever it is they want to do and if that doesn’t make enough money then they will just do nothing at all.

Not before I see beta footage of Unholy DK.
As much as I want to preorder and get Drakk, seeing how close the release is with no alpha/beta out and the Unholy DK Tree being the way it is has me skeptical.
Yep this is me. I think Shadowlands is the worst xpac to date (replaced WoD in the #1 slot for me) but I’m willing to give Blizzard another chance.
I’ll be grabbing the $90 preorder this weekend. Side note: I wish I could pick and choose an option. I would get the mount, two pets, hat and game time.
I think the wings, hearthstone and level boost are “meh.”

Bought the epic edition asap and no regrats. I know GD is a 24/7 moanfest but I for one am still fond of the game and play many hours a day, so it’s always been great value for money to me. I spent about that much on a concert ticket a few weeks ago and that was over and done with in 2 hours. Plus, how cute is Murkastrasza??

I love both pets. They are too cute. The tree drake is a nice match for the tree mounts, I suppose.

Well if you think about it? the pic pays for it self if you wanted a character boost anyway ($60 value) + 30 days game time (15$ value) ? Thats $75 right there. Not to mention the pets, the mount and you get the xpax.
Was a no brainer for me
my only complaint is that about three weeks ago I RAF’d myself and levelled a whole batch of characters up for the allied race heritage armour 'chievs. On top of my multiple level 60s I have nine characters between level 55-59 and now have NO idea what to use my boost on! how dare the devs not consider me, personally, when deciding the release schedule of their major blockbuster expansion…

I have not yet. I normally don’t jump on these things day one because I have to budget for it. I DO want the mount and pets though. Also mogs are nice.
My issue is that it won’t run on my laptop for certain. This thing runs WoW currently but won’t run DL. It is a 2013 laptop which was pretty high end for the time, but not so much anymore.
I do have a desktop that is hand me down parts from friends who upgraded and it MIGHT run it. So if that is the case, I will probably get it.
Alpha/Beta will probably be when I decide. If it won’t run, then I will wait until I can run it to get the game.

Good thing I didn’t say anything about what the definition of pre-ordering is.
I don’t inherently dislike the game, but I do think Retail quality is down since WoD, and I certainly don’t like Blizzard, and if I don’t like the company I don’t pre-order from the company. I can legitimately only think of one game I’m willing to pre-order at this time so I’ll be a game-time decision on Dragonflight, but for now I’m perfectly content over here in TBC and soon to be WoTLK.
And don’t worry, I have plenty of steam games to play these days.
Sony created such a trash game the community forced them to admit it was bad and they literally trashed the game and started over from scratch. Not sure why you think a playerbase doesn’t have some level of power over the developer, and they certainly aren’t abandoning WoW any time soon because it continues to be financially successful.
Yes, I preordered. I’ll be playing it no matter what and I wanted the mount, mog and pets now! The epic version is good deal imo, especially for for me.
30 days free, the mount, pets and xpac would cost more separately than together.
On a side note, I’m kind of excited for DF. I really hope they’re able to deliver.

I didn’t play MoP, WoD, Legion, and most of Cata and BfA so my expectations for SL were real low. SL was just entertainment to pass the time and stay safe because of the pandemic for me.
I haven’t preordered because I am not sure if I want to continue for DF. There are other games coming out next year that I am interested in like Street Fighter 6. I like the fact the it is scheduled to come out earlier so I can gauge how much time I can put into try achieving personal goals set in this next expansion before those other games are hitting the market.
Reading this thread I remember those days lining up outside Fry’s Electronics waiting for it to open at midnight on the release date of the past expansions and having the devs there to sign our copies. 
No. I don’t preorder because I don’t see the need to. I’d rather spend my $$ on something I can enjoy now.
Well, they give you stuff to enjoy now. Mogs, mount, pets, level boost, etc.
Not trying to talk you into it, just pointing that out.
