Why did we get Vulpera over Ogres?

Vulpera are still better than goddam avoid elves. You might as well ask why we got avoid elves over krokul broken. Or high elves, or wildhammer dwarves.

One more time .

WoW lore says Kul Tiras was founded originally by explorers from Gilneas.

2,700 years [BDP], after the [Troll Wars], the [humans]of [Arathor] traveled to various regions. Some human sailors left [Gilneas] and found a large island full of metal ores and other resources. Following their arrival in Kul Tiras, the human colonists were attacked by the native [Drust]. The war that ensued led the large and hardy race, who lived in [Drustvar] to extinction

It’s suggested in the Drustvar zone questline that the tirasian humans mingled with the vrykul drust, no? Hence why some of them are like nine damn feet tall.

No one disagrees with what is in the lore!
But they are not allied race of worgen!
It’s from humans! they are not recruited by Greymane!
Jaina includes them in ally!
Kultirnas don’t even look like worgen, unless they morph into saint bernards!

THat makes sense . They are more of a combo race and it was a response to the other person saying Greymane didn’t recruit them .

Thing is Gilneans didn’t become Worgens until after the 2nd war and most likely did around the time of the Scourge invasion or later so most likely around wc3 and maybe Burning Crusade.

I hope we never get ogres. They’re ugly and barely wear any clothes.

What if
You could roll a Kultiran druid, with the druid models
 but a human character?

Personally, I really don’t understand why is taking so long for Horde to get either Ogres or Mok’nathal/Half Ogre breed like Rexxar.

But since Blizzard really loves the Horde, I think it’s just a matter of time.

I am so sick of allied races in general and I think they were a horrid implementation in the first place and they were only aimed at people that are rerolling addicts to boost game time and level boost sales

I’m not against the addition of Ogres but I didn’t think that they were part of the second Horde.

How’s this there is no Female Ogre modles thats why there is no playable Ogre’s.

You like Orges over Vulpera??
Hm Interesting

Though they do have a design thanks to Traveler (look up Karrga from Traveler: The Spiral Path if you don’t know), it would be a matter of making the model and animations. The work involved would be about as much as the Kul Tirans needed. Heck, the skeleton for the Blood Troll Warmother looks like it could be used as a suitable base for them.

Like I said months ago though, if Ogres happen, they should be a core race, not an allied race.

Imagine a female ogre with the Kul Tiran lady rig
:face_vomiting: Maybe a Mok’nathal, but a pureblood ogre is eeew. Plus as others pointed out, the odds of us getting the far cooler two-headed option is slim to none due to helmet rigging. I’m all for unconventional and less pretty races, and ogres are very established in the lore, but there’s a limit. I think they would have the same issues kiltirans and Pandaren do - unpopular, and the big belly would stretch out and ruin most transmogs.

The only upside would be running around in skimpy plate mogs while macro ing “raar! Me smash (player race)” in pvp for the pure comedy factor. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to stand it.

Three month old necro!

(Oops, did not notice the necro, until I saw date and what player above me said  )

“Allied races”, are races who are your allies. Because of that, they tend to be with current content.

Lightforged space goat
Void Blood Elves
Kul’tiran Chubbies
Dark Iron Dwarves Firehairs
Vulpera Furrys
Mechagnome Nappies

Are all semi current content, in the game.

Meanwhile, there have been no new Ogre NPCS in BFA (or the lead up to it in Legion.)

So I doubt very much if we get another allied race, if it would be stuff like that. It would be from newer NPC content (or an NPC type that was going in with Shadowlands perhaps, even though the Allied race would COME in BFA.)

Ogre would much more likely be just a REGULAR new player race, rather than an allied one.

Humans already got ogres. :grimacing:

Even less, I would argue.

I absolutely understand why ogres haven’t been made playable – the devs aren’t gonna waste time and assets on something barely anyone is gonna touch. With goblins having been chosen over them in Cataclysm I feel like their window of opportunity is gone for good.

ARs are based on the skeletons and animations of the races in the two player factions. so worgen would coincide with worgen based skeletons like sethrak or saberon.
