Why did we get fat humans?

Cool Druid forms, tons of customization, the distinct chance of being able to be shamans to possibly balance out Zandalari pallys, I see no issue with Kul'Tirans.

... This is literally one of the reasons KTs are so welcome for me.

They AREN'T reskins. Sure, they're humans... but then again, they really aren't. They're half-giant, sea-witch pirates.

They are just fat humans and getting them instead of say a race Kul'tirans had allied with that could have been invented or say murlocs...........nobody wanted to just be obese in game.

Being overweight also would make you a horrible soldier or military sailor. Just go near a naval base and count how many people are overweight (it will be zero due to Navy height/weight standards) there is very good reason.

I wanted Murlocs.....

That's hilarious. Take it from an airman, fat military personnel are certainly not unheard of.

Meanwhile I think back to when my Dwarf warrior was wearing armor with his gut poking out. So much for weight being an issue.

In a game as long in the tooth as WoW, where it's so easy to have max levels of either faction, is exclusivity the hill you really wanna die on?
You are the one that decided to try and make it a competition between factions. You tried to say horde is getting better faction hubs and I showed you that you ware wrong. No need to be salty about it

It's not about competition; it's about what the races bring to each faction and the richness of the story. I want to have the same immersive experience on my Alliance characters that I get when I play Horde.

Shoehorned, skeleton races are not my idea of a deep, immersive experience.

Wheni look at the trols im like god damit it more stupid ugly trolls same with hm

If it was up to me id give you all this stupid trash ally races we are getting for 1 undead ally race

Well we MIGHT be getting san'layn.

Not a bloody chance lol
I'm only interested in Kul'Tirans if the skinny variants are a playable option.

If not, it's another race to forget about and not touch the reputation grind at all.

They are just more 'regular' humans after all, nothing like Forsaken or Worgen.

hah... of course, Dwarves have Earthen heritage, so they're probably dense like clay. Just contemplating my Dwarf, with her 80 pounds of Platemail, 30 pound Greatsword, swimming in rough water as if it were nothing.

...of course, she DOES have a strength of 33,000 so the weight isn't exactly a concern.

Kul'Tirans aren't the race to be worried about then. They've got story credentials stretching back to the RTS days, and some funky new stuff that's happened while they were in isolation. These guys bring something rich to the Alliance.

...you ought to be picking on Void Elves, instead.

Just because you don't like them doesn't mean that they aren't going to happen. Ultimately it's blizz's choice, not ours

If Ion had any sense he would ban any and all future elf races from being added.

4 is already too many.

Plenty of races in the game that could be added. Ogres, Vykrul, Naga, Saytr, Nerubians, Dragonkin, Fey, Sylvans, Ethereal, Arakkoa, Eredar, Broken, etcetera etcetera

They wouldn't be exactly a elf race, they are more of an undead
Because fat humans are awesome its not like there were other fantasy races in the game the players wanted more. Let's just take humans and feed them some cake. It's the new allied race!

This makes me hate them even more
When you live at sea you need to eat lots of fish food and fill up your belly
I'll boil it down for you to its simplest form:

Horde requests race from lore to be playable>Horde gets race exactly as described in the lore

Alliance requests race from lore to be playable>Alliance gets race with wacky overhaul that deviates from lore

So basically, Alliance asked for Vrykul and got Kul Tirans.

It's not what you want. A lot of people want them. Besides there is a lot they can do with them since they have no official look
I guess their in game appearance and hearthstone card art isn't official?

Then you look at kul'tiran humans and say oh they are just humans who have eaten a lot of junk food and drink a lot of alcohol.

I don't see that. I see them as a hearty race of seafarers.

Don't play one if they bother you but I think they are fine the way they are.
You ever notice how its mostly the HORDE players that are happy the ALLIANCE is getting fat humans?

I wonder how happy they would be if they got fat orcs instead Nightborn.

I never implied that I didn’t like them, nor did I imply that the decision rests outside of Blizzard’s desires.

What I am implying is that there isn’t much of a chance for the San’layn to make it as an Allied Race.

1.) For it to be a official look, it must be stated in the books or confirmed by blizzard themselves. Like blood elves, they are just green eyed high elves confirmed by blizzard.

2.) Hearthstone really doesn't have anything to do with wow, if it was we would have awesome female worgen

Who knows tbh.

They might develop more in bfa

Or Bolvar might have something to do with them
