Why Did it Just Cost 2.2k to Repair My Gear?

Yeah, but that information isn’t really new to us players, therefore it was expected. Is it logical to suddenly forget how to repair gear? No, not really. But forgetting how to do things, like insert a gem socket into a belt for example, are things that we should have just come to expect from this game.

So what you’re saying its a you problem. You want cheaper repairs or gold thrown at you because you don’t play often?

not in the way i do it.

Youre illiterate and dumb.

I literally stated what i expected in my reply to your idiotic self and its not unreasonable in the slightest.

Perhaps for the same reason their offerings of complete mog sets have become more and more frequent; the cost of using a complete set on a character is, what, about 600g now? Times that by however many alts you might want to dress up, along with the need to reset parts of the appearance when you equip new gear.

$$$ my friends, it eventually comes down to $$$.

Name calling only makes you look worse and entitled.

Agreed. Dailies for for repair cost scaling seemed to have slipped the minds of our game masters. This is still an MMO. Flasks, potions, crafted items and enchants, etc. All require peoples time to be put into the game to get them. I want a flask I need to pay 200g for it since someone had to go level alchemy, find the pattern, get the materials and make the item. This shouldn’t really be the case with repairs, but currently. It is. So you need to dedicate some time to that cost.

Pick up enchanting, DE spare epics. Pick up skinning, join a skinning group for 30 minutes a day and get 500 leather. Grab mining and mine some ore in your spare time. I just sold all the mats I acquired on my alt for like 15k last week. It’s not a lot. But I put no effort into those items and made a decent profit from it.

I don’t think anyone currently at Blizzard even remembers this being a thing anymore. Factions barely exist in modern WoW anyway; now that they’re more of a UI thing they just designate one NPC to dump all the renown rewards on and hardly even bother using faction tags at all.

I’m still never repairing at any NPC that I don’t have an exalted discount with though. I can’t imagine how much gold I’ve saved over the years thanks to this perk.

How many time did you go down?

Perception is not always reality. I couldnt give any care as to what others perceive me to be.

You know what is reality though? The fact that you asked a question id already answered due to your inability to read a response directed at you. Are you done?

2259 io but at least 8/8H.

Out of the 5 or so of you that have said something along the lines of that, only 1 actually pushes M+ past the seasonal rewards or Mythic raids. You are not doing content at the level nor frequency that those experiencing the repair gold drain are.

Again its a you problem

Ok so youre done. :+1:t4:

Why 0.05 silver and not 5 copper? Why does this bother me?

TC can’t let go of their flopic.

Even if repairing from 0% on all items costs 2.2k gold (I don’t know, it might) the real point here is that if your gear is going from 100 to 0 in a single run then clearly you have a bigger problem that needs addressing.

This topic is only still going because of sunk cost fallacy. TC needs to take the loss and move on. Maybe go farm some gold.

During the raiding months, I actually LOSE money in this game as a plate wearer. I’m getting a little tired of being financially punished by Blizzard for the actions of gold farmers back in WoD…

Unless it’s been stated otherwise, they’re not talking about top end mythic raiding. They’re talking about M+. Ten deaths in a single run is cause for concern.

Really wish there were profession tools similar to the functionality of the Blacksmithing Master’s Hammer that allowed free repairs for cloth, leather and mail armor. It’s not like everyone invests in professions anyway.

And the repair costs are the same for each, which is silly.

Because that’s just how it is.
