Why Did it Just Cost 2.2k to Repair My Gear?

not everyone has 8 hours a day to spend grinding out gold in the game. its actually faster, cheaper and more effective to get a real life job and just buy gold either through blizzard or darksites.

so to answer your question, no you are not some god gamer thats rich in game, and yes, many people buy gold, otherwise blizzard wouldn’t keep the ability to do so in game.

Except it is not, as i was doing the same activities prior to TWW and was able to keep up with costs. Consumables didnt change, but repair costs did. Thats not controlled by players.

Im aware. It doesnt feel right regardless when i already pay a sub. Never even had to consider buying a token for gold before.

I make more gold than I spend in repairs for the entire month in less than 1 hour of playing.

I never knew that put me in the top 1% of skilled players. No wonder this game seems so hard to most people :person_shrugging:

I can’t remember the last time I spent that much in repairs. It gets up to 1k if a couple things are broken. Was all your stuff 0%?

lol?

It takes like 10 minutes of grinding to make 2000g.

We’re not talking about grinding to make gold cap in a week, we’re talking about spending 10-20 minutes getting enough gold for repair bills and consumables.

Earlier you mentioned it’s easier for you to buy gold than to earn it. How much are you having to spend in real life money every month just for repair gold?

Do you take out loans?

Yeah it’s pretty expensive now. I’ve started putting a limit on repairs for M+

If I have to spend over a certain amount, I’m leaving. I’m not going to pay 1k+ gold to complete a key

But there are so many daily quests now complete with rewards. In Vanilla, there was no daily quests. Once the story quest was done, it’s the end. You kill gazillion boars for their grey items. And those pay for your raid expense bills? ROFL. Good thing, I was a Warrior Enchanter. I farm RIghteous Orbs regularly selling Crusader’s Enchant.

Who mentioned vanilla? I dont care about your ecperience 20 years ago. Things were different then.

Yeah it was still at 0. But its not like the cost decreases if you repair every time it hits 80% instead of waiting. Back in BFA you could repair a whole set from 0 for 300 gold.

2.2k repair bill can easily be gained from the Daily Quests. Back then, selling grey items took care of repair bill.

On the days i play heavily im spending at least 5k between consumables and repairs. Youre being obtuse.

No matter how you look at it a significant amount of time needs to be spent to maintain gold when that amount should be 0. The gold we need should be obtainable from content we already play.

Just farm gear with indestructible property

Thats actually the worst part. That was 2.2k with an indestructible dagger. The real cost is higher.

Oh wow, thats a huge amount of gold there, you should bank it. /s

Literally 10 hours of key pushing at best. 6 if youre actually wiping.

Repair costs are based off the vendor sell price of the gear IIRC. Just do a couple world quests and make you’re money back and then some.

You have to farm and Raid. Been like that since Vanilla. If you cant afford your repair bill, it is becoz you skip a content that should give you gold. Gold is raining today. If repair bill is a big issue today, learn2play?

Only 2.2k? It’s too cheap. It should cost more than 5k.
