No they said they would like BC and WoTLK servers
okay clown
i hope classic is so succesful and the demand for tbc so prevalent, they go for it. tbc is my fav expac. it had all the charm of vanilla (still had hardmode stitches in duskwood, still old school scholomance, sunken temple, wailing caverns, etc). and the professions were all doing really good.
This was so confusing when I started playing again a few months ago. Talent selection is so weird now. Def better before.
Jebus man. Lay off the sauce for a bit, its getting into your head.
I’d love those. Some classes shined more during those times. Later expansions made the rotations and mechanics of some classes… less fun or practical.
hehe
Another point I’d like to make is why was there no marketing at all for classic?
Classic wow was literally a phenomenon with millions of people playing it, even many famous people and a game just about everybody knew about?
If they see it as bringing back a lot of revenue why not advertise this
I might try Classic because I started playing in Wrath but I don’t see myself playing it long.
If they were to release Wrath which I really liked I would only play if for a bit, I am not much for nostalgia when it comes to games lol
The stupidity by the op in this thread is on an entirely new level. I wouldn’t be surprised they are a flat earther and anti-vaxxer.
they marketed it by inviting every popular game streamer to stream the beta. they dominated twitch by a huge margin
haha love it
I could have sworn this thread was in General Discussion when I opened it?
Oh well, you’ve been thrown to the dogs now, mate.
I welcome adversity and people with thoughts different than mine
he was an amazing pvper. at one point, he’s in silithus and has 2 people fighting him, when a priest joins too. so now he has 3 versus him. so he uses the gnomish mind control cap, mind controls the priest to heal him, sheeps another one and fights the third. lol
I like turtles. Do you also like turtles?
So after reading all these posts and for sake of argument, Classic booms once again, subs are back to 13 years ago numbers and everyone is happy. (Fantasy I know)
Until there’s no more content.
Make no mistake there was and is a finite amount of things to do in Classic. If there wasn’t, why do you think players wanted more? What then?
Curious to see how it unfolds. Like I’ve stated, I’m not for or against it. To me it will be entertaining to see how the game does. Since I remember how it played. Good or bad.
H
You can’t compete with something that doesn’t exist
First, Classic and Live sub is tied together. They dont need Classic server to make micro transaction money. There are going to be planned content droughts, as well as no progression past Naxx. They are counting on people playing both version of wow and thus still getting at least some cash out of those people. Secondly, they plan on bringing those that play classic on private servers back here thus invlating subs and therefore sub fees. Those are people that havent paid recently or possibly ever.
Lastly, the cost of rolling this old content out is minimal. Most of the cost and time is just getting old and new systems to mesh together with the modern wow client. Once thats done and if the subs look good, we’ll likely see TBC, WotLK, and beyond servers someday. No new content, art, music, etc. Just easy maintence mode cash for blizzard.
Mmmm
