oh yes, I forgot the Healers should DPS complaint too.
Healers are good though. Healers need love. Don’t touch my healers!
Absolutely agree. WoW has traditionally done a poor job with accessibility for new players. Exiles reach isa good start, but it really only skims over core mechanics. The game still pretty much requires years of prior knowledge. You just kind of get dumped into the previous expansion.
this sounds like all collectors, wdym?
“what you don’t have this shirt from a 1980’s concert? you’re not even a real fan”
“you just heard of metallica? lol you cant ever be a real fan, I’ve listened to them for over 30 years!”
you can’t like the thing i like unless you’ve liked it just as much and as long as me!
“youve heard of this song/band/brand from a tv show? you’re not a real fan!”
Sunday?
Woohoo! No more work for me ever!!
Wait a minute… then I don’t get paid ever… AAAUGH!!
I hated hunters back in the day because you had to keep feeding the pet. It was like of those Tamagotchi things from the 90s.
Yeah because their seasonal events or whatever else go on Cash shop 1-3 years later. Both games treat things like this like trash.
let me know when ff has like 10 expansions like wow puts out and see how old content gets treated lol.
Well, instead of 20 levels for free they give 2 entire expansions for free…
and while you could get to max level in those 2 expansions… it would be very very time-consuming and tedious redoing the same things over and over for little progress.
younger generations are not really into MMO’s…so it’s hard to do, i feel like the entire genre is working with a somewhat limited audience.
Some game genres fall off and make comebacks - RTS is a good example of that. all it takes is an innovator to mix things up
I’m definitely an exception to this. As I’m 19 year’s old and played wow since I was 16 in 2019.
But I don’t know anyone else my age who likes mmos besides my best friend who is also 19.
Everyone else my age plays games that I find absolutely horrendous.
It has nothing to do with this and entirely on the community itself. Veterans alienate new players, and new players have no interest in learning any layer of the game.
Shadowlands was time-gating galore in 9.0, yet we saw a large influx of players dropping out throughout that patch for SL.
The tutorial was too chatty.
I’m going to be honest here, the biggest detractor for Warcraft today is Blizzard itself and the frankly abysmal nonsense that happened at their HQ. THAT is the biggest reason I’ve heard for a lot of people who know about the company and why they won’t buy into any blizzard products.
For me, it’s just a lack of people to invite, I don’t have a massive circle of people who either haven’t already played wow or have no interest in it.
Bad comparison: Model-T are physical goods based on an out of date physical standards set, and honestly, likely can’t pass inspection. Further, they are still possible to buy in collectors circles so…even on that point, you fail.
Tried ff14 and the gameplay is terrible and not fun.
People hated OP because he spoke the truth.
I feel this pain. I don’t like it.
