It doesn’t take “a million years” to gear a twink. Total fail hyperbole.
Twinking has always been one of the most reviled and hated aspects of PvP in the game. It’s only fun for the twink, not for the people being graveyard camped because they wanted to try getting into PvP. Honestly I think it’s up there with botting in bgs l for how many hate it.
Not to mention the community that enjoys this activity is so minuscule, and yet despite being so small, their fun is the detriment of entertainment for the rest of the player base. From an outside perspective, they’re a very tiny subset of players who found a way to troll and otherwise make miserable the lives of many players, turned it into an art form. In a way, it’s impressive. But mostly, it’s sad that their fun is solely based on bullying as many people as they can. There’s absolutely nothing positive that comes from the twinking community.
Blizzard finally decided that the number of happy players would be much greater if twinks were unable to queue with normal players. And honestly, I agree. When someone’s fun is based solely on the detriment of others, that should be looked at. PVP servers/war mode had the warning with it that shows the risk of you dying while in the world, and it’s accepted that that’s part of world PvP. But instanced PvP is a place to try and fight in a more controller, evenly matched environment; twinks ruined this for too long, so something had to be done.
After experiencing twinks for 15 years, I have very little sympathy when their bullying fun is removed.

Twinking is normal, and not very hard to do. In matter in fact twinking isn’t about steamrolling - its about being passionate to that bracket. Yes, twinking gives you an upper hand, but the actual stats increase were talking about is quite small in reality. If you need to hurry up and level then do so the “normal” way. Questing, dungeons… normal. Leave the battelgrounds to the warriors, its not worth the tiny bit of experience you’ll get.

Yep. You got the whole screed in there. But ganking level 10’s with max level characters is just fine. And locking down quest hubs by murdering npcs until low level players quit? Just fine.
I get that you hate PvP. Well, now you do. Because they told you to hate twinking and hands off all those other inconvenient manifestations of toxicity in the game.

Level capped players didn’t make players quit the game the hamster wheel that players faced at the endgame content made them quit?

I only recently resubbed to play my 29s twink but wound up in a similar situation in which I simply cannot play unless I do the twink BG exploit.
Blizzard really needs to put twinks back in the normal queue, except maybe at 110.

They need to change everyone’s perception of reality in order to make this change work. That’s what the swarm of nouveau twink-haters are here for.
I’m guessing that they got a huge blowback and need to cover for that.
It took a few hour/days/weeks to make a twink, depending on how far a player wanted to get into the gear.

The “exploit” no longer works. Some people enchant heirlooms and level up, deleting their toons when they reach max. But many have quit the game and stopped playing entirely because BfA.
maybe in the general forums, but not overall. You are completely wrong, go to xpoff if you don’t believe me. I’ve been twinking since the very beginning of vanilla, along with the rest of them. You are speaking the words of the “general chat” echo chamber. I’m at the gates of org, and all I see are a few 120’s and about 20 twinks. Don’t try to sound like your superior when you don’t have a clue.
World PvP was never meant to be fair, but battlegrounds are an attempt to make PvP more equal because there are always X vs. X amount of players. And locking down quest hubs, that is part of the world. And if done for too long, Blizzard will and has stepped in. There’s a PvP response in world PvP because it’s supposed to be unbalanced. Instanced PvP was always meant to have structure.
Oh no one told me to hate PvP. Fighting twinks made me hate PvP. Bgs were horrific for years when one player can spawn camp the entire enemy team. Especially before Warsong Gulch before timers existed and said twink could just hold the flag indefinitely while spawn camping the other team.
I don’t need anyone telling me why to hate twinking; the twinks have done wonders themselves painting them as bullies who solely enjoy tormenting people for hours on end.
Actually the general forums were pretty neutral on twinking until devs announced it had always been an exploit. Now threads like this get swarmed with anti-twink posts by people who apparently only come to the forum to spam posts on threads like this.
Why? Do? You? Put? So? Many? Question? Marks? Where? They? Don’t? Belong?
You can, with other twinks. Can’t steamroll anymore? Well we know exactly why you twinked.

I just want to have fun in my own way. Killing players who don’t think they should gear up for pvp is fun for me and its nice to do a structured BG instead of ganking people leveling where they are just casually playing the game.
