Why can't I fly?

Do you mean that once SL releases everyone can fly in BfA zones? Whether they’ve completed Path 1 and 2 or not? If that’s the case, I’m gonna stop grinding rep and go play Assaults or Visions or something else. Where does it say this?

No. They are disabling Draenor and Legion Pathfinders. BfA Pathfinder will still be there.

With the major changes coming to leveling characters from 10-50 in Shadowlands, we want to make sure that there is a navigational parity among all of the different expansions you can choose while questing. In the next version of the Shadowlands Alpha that will appear this week, testers are going to see an intentional change coming to Shadowlands for a couple of older Pathfinder achievements.

Specifically, the flight training rewards from Draenor Pathfinder and Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two will no longer be required for flying in Draenor or Broken Isles content. These will now be granted at level 30 with expert flying.

The achievements will remain in place as before, and Draenor Pathfinder will still be the way to earn the Soaring Skyterror mount, while Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One will continue to reward increased mount speed in the Broken Isles.

The questline in order to fly sounds like a godsend compared to failfinder

No, I didn’t miss that period, but I used it to level up a new Void Elf Affliction Warlock from scratch - also I had to do all the rep grind to unlock the Void Elfs first. Once I got the Warlock to 120 then I went back to my DH, but by then the double XP period had come to an end.

Edit: I’m still only on Honored for Tortolla Seekers and Waveblade Ankoans, and just barely Honored with Rustbolt Resistance. I need to get them all to Revered, I’m done with everything else.

Double XP is still going and it will until SL goes live.
The Rep bonus however, did go away.

In any case, keep going! you’ll get there eventually… I know a few of them are quite a slog.

As soon as no flight was announced the forums erupted, blizzard lost a ton of subscribers, so many in fact they quit reporting, and the did an about face in a week or so. Yea the majority were fine with it. Now for the majority it may not have been a deal breaker, but that’s not the same as thinking is a good idea.

The anti flying shenanigans would end swiftly if players were allowed to vote. Flying is integral to the WoW experience out in the world IMVHO.

It is ironic that the majority of the playerbase voted for no flight back in Draenor but a small vocal crowd got us pathfinder and now continue to whine and cry about it.

Betting when they shuffle BFA into the ‘old’ stack of expansions with the rest they’ll do the same thing as they are with WoD and Legion. theyll pretty much have to if they want incoming new players even bothering to touch it if they cant fly.

Regardless, Pathfinder is going a way in SL so it’s all moot.

Are we sure about that? The only thing I have seen is Warlords, Legion, and BfA pathfinder will be able to be purchased with gold.
