Anyway, back on topic, as has been said, if you think there’s something I personally would have a decent opinion on to post feedback in the CC on, feel free to make a topic in General Discussion about it and just ping me by linking one of my threads with the chain icon. I can’t say for sure if other council members would be okay with that being done, as pinging can get annoying, but I don’t mind.
I usually hang out in General Discussion throughout the day, so I’ll probably see your thread eventually even without a ping though. But things do slip through the cracks.
Just don’t abuse it. >_>
A couple people have done that with me so far. It’s part of why I made the LFR thread, as I genuinely just forgot about making a thread about LFR. (Though I would have remembered next week when LFR released regardless :P)

Then you are back at square one.
Most of it is to eliminate the spam and trolling.
This whole CC idea is just another attempt at something they already tried. It’s mostly PR. Some should really keep their expectations at a more reasonable level.
Hey Leth, I noticed nobody has commented on your sep feedback post. Did you guys try running out from the boss during wretch? The way we did him was we made sure the wretch was going to go a specific direction by having the entire raid stand in roughly the same angle to the boss and when wretch happened and we had highish stacks we would all run away to one of the hills. It seems when he stops wretching and nobody is in melee he burrows to the raid group and when he comes up he seems to clear the stacks.
I’m sure many people haven’t even been in the raid yet, so hopefully more coming.
Yeah we figured it out after a couple pulls.

Actually, it was both their guildmates and the not so wonderful individual who went to our GM.
Those of us in the guild who made our GM aware have also defended Mai. I’m not sure why you hate them so much that you want to dismiss the crap they recently went through.

I’ll be giving feedback once LFR releases. I usually only go with my guild once they have things on farm, to help remove some of the anxiety raids give me.
A few of my friends have raid nights on the weekends, so I imagine a good chunk of the council do too.
I also have at least one friend whose guild is waiting until next week so they don’t get stopped at Anduin.

After Xymox last night it might be a minute til we’re on farm
Because all animals are equal. But some animals are more equal than others.
I’d post every day if I could. Even on each thread made. I understand they reached out and wanted these unique perspectives, but honestly I didn’t expect them to make an effort to exist on the forums.
They should have picked from those of us in various subforums who have an ongoing presence.
Not surprised by the one and done. And quite possibly they might have alternative means of communication with blizz as others have stated.
That forum should have blizz generated topics or drop downs for each thing. They could even turn them into stickies or linked as solutions or answers to long standing questions.
With my trust status in limbo and past ugly remarks, I’m probably not a consideration. But I’ve read many who are knowledgeable and/or polite enough to engage in a back and forth session.
That was another component I had looked forward to seeing: the live chats etc
I made this post cause I wanted to reply to your one topic:
This is going to be a relatively short topic, which isn’t normal for me as I’m sure y’all know by now. Simply put, why is it we’re over 17 years into this game, and there’s barely any pink in this game?
From how the the main CEOS ran Blizzard as a overly macho and sexist it was considered to “girly” of a color for real players. Likewise, they had the notion that the majority of wow was played by men who wanted thier characters to dress like men and the women avatars to be dressed like hyper sexually.
This would be why the majority of pink is used on dresses or skimpy armor.
I had a Twitter account once upon a time that I had exclusively for replying to wow dev comments, etc about the game in particular.
But I deleted it when a wow dev blocked me for pointing out that all the censoring going on was for inclusiveness and player choice but we still had no update on female warlock demons, Druids class hall flight form being made a separate form like they promised in legion, and yes, even pink armor.
Instead of coherently replying they were still working on it, or even simply saying they believed removing jokes some of the employees found uncomfortable first were a higher priority, they opted to block me. (And apparently they blocked anyone who did anything except agree with them, as I had posted in another thread about it and others said they were blocked too. No idea what thread it was though. I imagine it was about the censorship though.)
As such, I deleted Twitter because it became obvious the devs had no interest in actually getting feedback from the players despite touting that the changes were done for the players.
Which is funny because I made the comment in my thread that the lack of pink was because of stereotypes that blizzard continues to enforce by not adding it, but they haven’t made any effort to add any since they started all these changes that are supposedly to add inclusiveness.
That’s one of the reasons I was shocked to be chosen for the CC. Because I was very open about being blocked by that dev and very open that I do my best to point out hypocrisies.
And no, I haven’t reactivated my Twitter, before someone asks. As I said in my intro post, I only have Facebook. (and i make it a point to not comment on any public posts with that. I just use it for keeping up with high school friends lives)
EDIT: I hope you understand why I mentioned this as a reply to you. If not, I can do my best to explain lol.
they gave paladins the color pink and shaman the color blue. was really easy to see where they were going with that, initially. i mained a dwarf pally then and wanted to tank! so you can imagine how fun it was for me being a pink crusader. sigh.
(twitter always tries to get me to add wow related people and i’m like GET BEHIND ME, SATAN because i want nothing at all to do with wow twitter drama. or reddit drama either for that matter. all my joined subreddits are book related or stuff like patientgamers)
If they just let everyone post in there, it becomes general chat 2.
Wow, I was shocked over some of the disdain recorded in this forum post, but wanted to chime in.
First off, as to the title, “Why can we not reply in the Community Council?” Bluntly, it is the WoW Community Councilmen’s responsibility to voice the opinion of the playerbase. There have been several General Discussion forum posts linked off our Community Council posts that have provided us insight and further emphasis on player desires. We also receive mail/whispers in-game after a post which helps us articulate further responses. Personally, this was most recently produced with my post about Role Playing Mode wherein I had several passionate players respond to a linked General Discussion post as well as message me in-game. This allowed me to further articulate a more concise and comprehensive response into the thread for Blizzard’s review as they tend to take note of our voices.
If you are passionate about a WoW Community Council post, PLEASE link the post into one of the forum discussions so that we can review further community feedback for a follow up post. We all accepted the Councilmen positions with the best intentions in mind to enhance World of Warcraft.
For those who deem us useless or another marketing gimmick - those claims are completely unfounded. Personally, since I’ve joined the Council, I’ve had almost all my suggestions implemented into the game in one form or another. It has helped enhance the game for the playerbase. Blizzard IS heeding our voices and certainly attempting to enhance the game with our assistance. Everyone on the Council takes the position very seriously and we attempt to provide solutions to Blizzard for issues within the game.
Regarding the accusations of Council members addressing topics in which they have no expertise or understanding of the community that it impacts - I hear you. Unfortunately the Council members do not have any influence over what other council members post. We cannot cease any council member from addressing a topic in which they have no experience. My only suggestion would be to review the “Introduce Yourself Here” and note the council members which are most aligned with the aspects of the game you are most passionate about. You can then search our posts and link/message us any responsive commentary. You can also “heart” (like?) the posts to demonstrate your support of the post to Blizzard.
Please keep in mind the WoW Community Council is a voice for the playerbase. We are attempting to provide Blizzard with concise opinions, commentary, and feedback on issues with the game. Rather than deem us an “other” or “enemy,” please lean into us so that we can assist in enhancing this game.
Thank you.
If even Asmongold is not on it, then you know somethings up.
Since we can’t really respond to a community council post itself like we can do to any post here but only read and upvote, I kinda want downvoting back on that sub so players can express if they dislike what’s being presented.
The only other option is make a thread opposing it in gen discussion that turns into a flamefest of said cc member you oppose and prob does not get seen by any devs anyway.

I would concur and support this. I believe Blizzard should implement a “dislike” button on the WoW Community Council so players can voice their disdain for any topics or propositions there.

Because it is only for the Community Council.
Because it is for communication between Blizzard and select members of the community only.
If they are interested in our thoughts, they can come here and read them.
You can make a thread and post a link to the original thread.

To note, if you use the chain icon on the cc post to link to the thread, it will give us a forum notification (this happens with any thread you use the link button on for any member, not just cc)
So we’ll read it.
Though to note, we’ve been asked to comment our thoughts on things we may not be interested in ourselves.
I assume this is so they can understand what isn’t appealing about it to players like us, to see if they can figure out a way to make it more appealing.
For instance I do my best to avoid commenting on raid or pvp stuff but I have commented a couple times.
the community council is not a good thing in the slightest
having to apply to a random team to have blizzard representatives consider your feedback is the worst decision ive seen
you know what would be the right thing? a community council forum which allows everyone to post but is the one heavily moderated forum where you can get banned from posting there if you don’t contribute anything other than negativity
not buying into this so called community council
