Some people are of the opinion we dont need dual specs. Some people are of the opinion the game might potentially benefit from them. We cool right? We can part as equals with both our opinions expressed - nope - youre wrong if you dont want them. Wait, what?
Some people think the game would benefit because not spending gold and not traveling is more convenient than spending gold and traveling. Brilliant stuff. Their personal leanings towards increased ease of use and accessibility (in an already super casual 15 year old MMO lol) is then conflated with being both good and in the games/ players best interest. An unprovable theory laden with bias they dont even try to disguise. Doesnt pass the logical litmus test.
Some people don’t see the need for dual specs and this can be irrefutably confirmed through an intellectually honest discussion using basic facts - TBC doesnt require dual specs to play. The proof is you can log into TBC and play it and respec right now. Its here and it works. Thats no ones opinion its observable reality. Facts of the matter that cant be refuted. When you throw in it was designed and originally played this way you got no opinion that matters. Just a request. A request that doesnt even have to be addressed.
If you dont really need them and cant make a real case for them and nothings broken and all you have is bias and unfounded theories then you shouldnt get dual specs.
Well if you want to get semantical then let’s just say that Dual Spec is Heresy to the cannon of originally intended play dynamics associated with tbc authenticity.
You only think it’s hearsay because you’ve only heard it from me. If you actually read the threads you’d have direct testimony of players saying they made a tank or healer off spec when dual spec was added or they made a pvp off spec and started to tank, heal, or pvp.
Given the many changes made that TBC didn’t require to be made to play and Dawson’s statement that changes would be made in the best interests of the players we can logically conclude that changes can be made that aren’t based on being required but simply by being in the best interests of the players. You of course can imagine all sorts of additional requirements be met before a change is made. It is a fantasy rpg after all. But what ever requirements you fantasize about in your free time isn’t the requirements the devs use and doesn’t really belong in a rational discussion.
I just toss out a post now and then to provoke you into another long winded rant. You’re a puppet dancing for us. It’s hilarious. I can’t wait for the next one.
That is par for the course at this point between the few remaining holdouts. Arguments are ignored, insults are repeated, nothing of value is really added, and on and on it goes.
Link the post where Feywaif unironically used the word ‘heard’ when referencing other people that post on the internet? Do you know that being able to provide written evidence said by someone about something makes it no longer hearsay?
Heresy is inapplicable as Blizzard has never once established any rule or protocol as sacrosanct.
Also it is spelled “canon” and this is also inapplicable for similar reasons. We have no orthodoxy of Blizzard Game Development and canons are never just a collection of flimsy “intentions” either.
Finally, even if Blizzard had once established a strict canon law of game development 15 years ago, Classic’s Dev Team has made dozens of affirmative statements concerning abandoning such strictures, making any sort of past appeal entirely pointless for its own sake.
Sorry, I didn’t catch spellchecker. It was meant as a cheecky play on words; you all take d-spec way too seriously and really have an issue with trying to prove your smarter than every other idiot on the board “myself included” by badgering those that differ in opinion. I could care less whether you think I’m smart or dumb because in real-life, stupid things like video games don’t matter and rebuilding an engine vs buying a new car are real qol issues to worry about, not some video game convenience issue.
Nah, just bored. It’s fun to watch how one sentence sets yall off writing short stories and pontificating about your wants in a mile long rant of insults and unsubstantiated conjectures. Thanks for checking my grammar and spelling; every good author needs an editor.
Hmmm, I did not literally post “I heard people will play other specs” Generally I’d think you were deliberately lying but in your case I think it’s just that you’re not very good at reading and understanding English.
literally
adverb
In a literal manner; word for word.
Quotation Marks
There are three rules for using quotation marks:
around exact words (quotes)
around titles of short, published works
around words used in a special way.
Here is an example of each:
“It will rain today,” he said. (Quote)
The students had a choice of two articles to read: “The American Economy in 2012” or “The Effect of Sunspots on Earth’s Weather.” (Title of short, published work)
He “relaxed” by climbing mountains and running marathons. (Words used in a special way)
Yeah that’s hearsay. You should look that up while youre at it. I even already explained why but you didnt include that in your cherry pick. Its like you’re impervious to logic and understanding.
My commentary was in quotes because I was paraphrasing something you said. Its completely valid.
Then you take said hearsay from an totally biased platform and use that as “factual evidence” that it will improve the tanking and healing situation for pug dps. In other words, you dont know what a fact is or how to argue. Youre all ad hom and bs.
Im sure the devs will be totally convinced by this. Good luck.
